Notts County remain well in the hunt for an automatic promotion place thanks to a 2-2 draw at Lincoln City on Saturday. The Magpies took the lead after 35 minutes when a clipped pass from Lewis Alessandra was headed home by Jon Stead. Lee Frecklington, who returned to the Imps from Rotherham this week, fired in an equaliser two minutes later to head back in the changing rooms all square. The Magpies then fell behind after 67 minutes when Matt Green slotted home but Jorge Grant craAdded by Joe Jones

Notts County disappointed yet again on Saturday as Forest Green Rovers ran out 3-1 winners at Meadow Lane. The result left the ten-man Magpies rock bottom of League Two but frankly it could have been even harsher on Harry Kewell's new side. Liam Shephard opened the scoring when he rifled past Ross Fitzsimons in the first half and, after the restart, Dan Jones walked for a two-footed lunge on Lloyd James. Forest Green then had a goal ruled out but soon after doubled their lead whenAdded by PON_News

The opening of this memorial message has been constructed by Notts fan @Darryl Broughton, as fan messagesΒ cameΒ pouring in the news β first with the Notts County Supporters Club. It quickly became apparent how much the magpiesβ star had touched the lives of many. Mick Vinter joined Notts County in 1971/1972 season, he was a great player for the reserves, being the top scorer with 26 goals from that season. As someone who grew up in the 1990s, I honestly believe that it was the best decade for a young boy to come of age. The music was incredible, there were so many good shows on television, and technology was life-enriching without being suffocatingly all-encompassing as it is today. And then we have the football. Italia 1990 and Euro 1996 saw England give genuine hope to the nation's fans that football was in fact coming home, while the advent of the Premier League brought along with itUpdated by Chris

Notts County have climbed to third in League Two and stretched their unbeaten run to six games in all competitions following a 2-0 win over Morecambe. Dan Jones opened the scoring for the Magpies at Meadow Lane with a 27th-minute free kick which was curled expertly round the Shrimps wall and beyond goalkeeper Barry Roche. Morecambe launched a fightback but their efforts were to no avail as Notts struck late on through substitute Jonathan Forte as he broke through and rifled home via thUpdated by Joe Jones

Notts County saw their unbeaten run come to an end as they lost 2-0 at Dagenham & Redbridge at the weekend. The Magpies began brightly as Callum Roberts was denied a debut goal due to a fine save from Elliott Justham. However, the hosts took the lead in the second half as Notts' defence was caught out on a set piece, a corner from which Alex Reid netted. Michael Doyle was then dismissed as he was shown a second yellow card for a foul on Sam Deering. Reid then wrapped up tUpdated by PON_News

Notts County reached the quarter-finals of the FA Trophy after overcoming Yeovil Town 2-1 at Huish Park despite finishing the game with nine men on the field. Connell Rawlinson opened the scoring in the seventh minute of the game before Wes Thomas was dismissed for raising his hands to an opponent shortly before half-time. However, Notts were able to double their lead despite the numerical disadvantage, Kyle Wootton coming off the bench to net in the 70th minute of the game. CourtUpdated by PON_News

Notts County welcome Swindon Town to Meadow Lane this evening. As openings to a season go, the Magpies have had arguably one of the toughest ones out there this year in League Two, with all four sides relegated from League One last season up against us in our first seven fixtures. Kevin Nolan's charges have however navigated a very tricky start reasonably well, save for the opener against Coventry City of course, and tonight, another team expected to bounce right back up to comes to NoUpdated by Joe Jones

Notts County returned to the National League playoff places thanks to a 1-1 draw with Woking at Meadow Lane. The hosts started brightly with Kyle Wootton being denied by Craig Ross and Kristian Dennis firing narrowly wide from the edge of the area in the 13th minute. Woking, however, opened the scoring five minutes into the second half when Dave Tarpey's cross was turned in by Max Kretzschmar. Notts County reached the semi-finals of the FA Trophy with a 5-0 win over Aveley at Meadow Lane on Saturday. It took the Magpies half an hour before breaking down the resolute Millers, with Jim O'Brien breaking the deadlock. Tom Crawford's curling effort doubled County's lead and Sam Osborne found the target to give Neal Ardley's side a deserved advantage at the interval. Kyle Wootton's 16th of the season made it four with an hour played and Scott Wilson, who signed on Friday, camAdded by PON_News

Notts County missed out on the chance to gain ground on the top three in League Two as they were held to a goalless draw by Wycombe Wanderers in Good Friday's match at Meadow Lane. The Chairboys came to NG2 very much intent on leaving with a point and the Magpies could not break their defence down in an uninspiring, rain-sodden encounter. County had the better of the chances in the first half with Shola Ameobi striking a post following a Terry Hawkridge cross. Kevin Nolan was thenUpdated by Joe Jones

Notts County have made it seven matches unbeaten in all competitions thanks to victory over Swindon Town on Tuesday night. The Robins came to Meadow Lane hoping to extend their superb away record in League Two, but luckily - for us - it wasn't to be. Arguably the toughest opponent on paper for Notts so far this season since Coventry City, Kevin Nolan's charges were well drilled and well organised. The winner came midway through the first half as Olly Lancashire conceded a penalty,Updated by Joe Jones
