Notts County a tough test for MK Dons, says manager Graham Alexander

Graham Alexander’s comments were indeed very respectful, as one would anticipate. It appears that MK Dons have performed admirably thus far, despite having players unavailable and worries about their strikers. It doesn’t seem to have caused them much harm, but Notts are aware of their quality and we must simply be mindful of our actions. Hopefully, it will be an engaging match where both teams attempt to take advantage of the other.

It will be a tough test for both teams, but at least Graham Alexander is acknowledging how well we did last season and how Notts has started so far. It’s going to be a lively game. I think MK Dons might be the first team to try to maintain the ball like we do, so the battle for possession will be really interesting to see how it unfolds. I am sure that with Luke Williams, along with Aden Baldwin and Adam Chicksen having experience of what their ground is like, we can go into it a bit more prepared.

It’s interesting to know about their injury issues. I wonder if some of them are likely to return or if they are genuinely out for the game. Alexander speaks well of Notts, and likewise, Williams pays respect to them. MK Dons should be one of the better teams in League Two, so if we can get a good result or just protect our winning streak, I will be happy.

mk dons are a good team, i think we should do well against them with the level of our performances having increased. its still very early days but the league is starting to take shape, its a good chance for us or them to show their dominance. this will make it a difficult game, as i think both teams will approach the match in a way where near try to rock the boat from the moment kick off happens. it might be a little so, as we feel them out but i do believe it will be entertaining.

It sounds like Alexander is mindful of what a good team Notts are and he will have instilled that into his team. It should be a good game between two good teams. I’m looking forward to watching the stream.

It’s going to be interesting to see how we prepare and line up against MK Dons, even with players out. I am aware of their quality, and you don’t reach second place this early without it. Likewise, with Notts, it’s not luck that we are at the top of the table. This and our winning streak need to be protected. I think Notts will be a bit more defensive, but not at the cost of attacking. I just feel that Luke Williams will set Notts up to be patient at the back, with our strong midfield putting in a shift in both areas.

It appears that Graham Alexander allows his team to play with a certain level of freedom, which certainly makes their gameplay less predictable and routine. MK Dons will be a real challenge for us. We have performed well so far, but I believe that Accrington Stanley has been the toughest of our fixtures to date, and they are just a decent team.

MK Dons have many talented players, some of whom I could see excelling in a team like ours, such as Michael Williams and Alex Gilbey. It might work in our favour if they have players out, as we are only really missing Cedwyn Scott and Jodi Jones, who is on international duty. This match will be a true test of our abilities and could provide valuable insights into our strengths and weaknesses as a team.

I appreciate that Alexander didn’t just downplay the challenge ahead. He accepted that it's going to be a tough test. That's sportsmanship. This should fire the athletes up, knowing that they have the opposition manager’s respect. Notts will just need to do their best and work together to face MK Dons.
