League 2 Playoffs

MK Dons vs Crawley Town

Crewe vs Doncaster

On paper, MK Dons would be clear favourites but this is football. Doncaster have gone from relegation contenders to the playoffs after an incredible run of form. Crewe and Crawley are balanced sides and could easily win promotion. My prediction is Doncaster to beat MK Dons in the final.

After the run they’ve gone on you have to think that Doncaster could go all the way and get promoted. It should make some interesting matches.

Everything points to a Doncaster victory in the Playoff's but how many times have we seen Favourites Stumble and Fall at the Final Hurdle?

Yes @Robbie a Budget can help a Team towards Promotion. But Leadership and Motivation from a Head Coach and a Captain/Leader on the Pitch can also go a long way to Bringing Success to to a Club. Sadly those last Two are Missing at Notts.

It's Matchday.

Playoff semi-final first leg.

Crewe A v Doncaster R

The playoff semi-final first leg between Crawley v MK Dons has been postponed due to waterlogged pitch.

MK Dons losing at home 0:2 to Crawley.

Crawley now 5:0 up on aggregate.

Who would have thought that we look like having a Crewe v Crawley final. They finished 6th and 7th in the league.

Congrats to Crawley, I thought once they went 1-0 they managed the game very well. Their fans will be incredibly grateful for VAR though. If that pen had stood and been scored it would've been a massive controversy!

However whilst I’d be celebrating, I’d be a tad worried going into next season. They lost 18 times in L2 and only finished 9 points ahead of us! That doesn’t exactly feel like a team that's ready to step-up. The top 3 were quite comfortably ahead of the rest in the end and their massively superior GD tells a story too. Recruitment will have to be almost perfect for them over the summer, even with that I think if they stay up next season they’ll have done very well.
