Very good performance by Chesterfield last night at home to Derbyย

Some very well taken goals against a new Championship side in a 4:0 winย

Will Chesterfield be one of the teams pushing for promotion this season?

On this evidence they might be right up there. Highlights here๐Ÿ‘‡

Whether itโ€™s a pre-season friendly or not, @super_ram, your team has disappointed us. Could you help us make sense of this result? Did you field all young players? We need some explanation for this outcome. ๐Ÿ˜…

The victory must have been a fluke, or perhaps Derby wasnโ€™t at their best or fielded trialists among younger players. I wouldnโ€™t be surprised if they were giving youngsters a chance to be noticed for their first team.

Even a Result like this I'm not sure Chesterfield will be Challenging for Promotion to League 1 this Coming Season. Last year they were going to Smash Wrexham's Point tally they were going to do this going to do that, they Flattered only to deceive. Lets face facts I think which ever teamย  lost the Wembley Playoff Final between Notts and Chesterfield they were destined to be National League Champions last season., and so it proved with Chesterfield comfortably winning the National League Title.

I think they will end up like Notts did last year and just secure their place in League 2. I would hope Derby will be Investing Big in their Squad this coming Season, because despite gaining Promotion back to the Championshipย  I think Iย  read that Derby had one of the Oldest Squad's in League 1. I will say this out of all the Clubs Mentioned In Signing Macca, I would have Preferred Him To Have Gone To The Rams. Because I think Macca has a better chance of playing Championship Football with Derby in 2025/2026 season than with Millwall. There were also Rumours Derby were interested in Ruben when he was available From Notts. If those Players had been signed, with them both only up the A52, I think there would have been a Fair Few Magpie Fans nipping over to see how those Two Players were doing for the Rams.

Weak Derby starting line up by the look of things and half their players looked overweight and slow. Cheaterfield have got some half decent players going forward but their defence looked all over the place.

Wait till they come up against the big, physical sides of league 2, it will do for them as it did us, and Dobra will be hospitalised every weekend the way he appears to get injured every game.

Believe it or not my team could very easily have been 2 goals up in the first 5 minutes. Wednesday's game is one ofย  the reasons why we have pre-season games .Yes, a very embarrassing night but my team are still virtual strangers playing a well organised team who have had extra weeks to gel. There was plenty of individual excellence but football is a team game. I expect a much improved TEAM performance againstย  Shrewsbury on Saturday and also let's see what happens on 13th August when Chesterfield visit Pride Parkย  for an EFL cup game.

we will let derby off the hook this time, i know the result is a lure to make them believe they can do better in the league. when they struggle, we will thank you for inflating their confidence. ;)ย

Just to clarify, when I saw @super_ramย last. I told him off about the defeat, and how his beloved Derby County had let us Notts fans down.

Disgraceful performance by the Rams, but I do like @liampie's logic. ๐Ÿ˜›ย
