National Anthem

Lee Carsley is being criticised because he says he won’t sing the National Anthem at todays match. Personally I think it should be his choice, what do others think?

Proud to be a Notts County Supporter for over 60 years.

If he's standing out of respect during the National Anthem like everyone, else I don't see what the problem is.

How many players actually sing the National Anthem instead of just pretending to? I prefer honesty to pretending. Maybe he doesn't like the royal family, and that's his choice. He should be proud of his country, and singing the National Anthem doesn't prove whether he is or not.

Desperately trying to create a story out of nothing, but then it’s become the norm now to report trivial things that supposedly matter to someone somewhere!

I’ve got no issues with national anthems, they are a touch dated in some case but our one is rubbish. Asking an all powerful being to take care of the most privileged man in our country… Not for me.

Those who are unhappy with his appointment will always find something to criticise him for.

His job is to select the best team to win matches.

If he keeps winning that's what he should be judged on.

Talk about a storm in a tea cup. This one has been whipped up by people who are obsessed about "free speech" when it comes to using racist language - but when Lee Carsley exercises his own freedom not to sing a song, the sky is suddenly falling down. Good on him for sticking to his guns and annoying all the right people.

It feels as though it's the same as those fans using Stuart Maynard's previous full-time position as a BT Technician against him.

Lee Carsley is entitled to sing if he wants, or not.

People really need to stop jumping on things because when the same lot complains the world has gone mad, political correctness this and that - well they're part of the problem. The only thing I care about is signs we are good enough, along with results.

A field where dreams become reality.

I really don’t care. I find that a lot of people who get upset by things like this aren’t very royal-minded. They’re just people who complain about anything and everything.
