Posted November 25, 2024Nov 25 #1 A thread to keep an eye on what is happening in league 2 that might affect Notts & to initiate discussion on clubs in league 2 other than Notts.
November 25, 2024Nov 25 Author #2 Top of the table clash ended in a draw tonight which suits Notts. Port Vale 1 Crewe 1 Notts are now fifth in the table, just two points behind second placed Walsall. November 26, 2024Nov 26 #3 great idea @Robbie! port vale will be hoping walsall will slip with their two games in advance but really the pressure will be on both teams. it seems a bit weird to think we are only 6 points off the top, not that i think our form is bad but the recent defeat to crewe and a draw to newport has not really effected us. at the other end of the table, carlisle seem to have found some form since their winning, they have drawn their last two games. there are some good teams at the wrong end of the table.
November 26, 2024Nov 26 Author #4 Matches in League 2 tonight. Results Walsall 2-2 Bromley Tranmere 0-2 AFC Wimbledon

December 3, 2024Dec 3 #7 Tonight's game is very important for Notts. The league is very wide open, with the top 4 fighting for first place. We're still in that fight, as are others, but games like today's could be where we make some ground up.
December 3, 2024Dec 3 #8 Think our game is the biggest one in terms of position in the table tonight, MK are doing well now (boo) and face Chesterfield at home, Wimbledon at home to Newport and Port Vale away at Cheltenham. At the end of play tonight best case scenario sees us go within 3 points of the leaders and up to 2nd (if we score enough goals). Worst case scenario we go 9 points behind the leaders and drop to 7th place - let’s not think about that one though! Also, how are Grimsby only 3 points behind us, doesn’t seem possible given they’ve lost 8 games already!
December 3, 2024Dec 3 Author #9 There were only three winners amongst the top ten teams in league 2 tonight.Walsall, Mk Dons & Grimsby. All the other teams drew or lost. So teams around Notts are dropping points too. Doncaster meet Fleetwood tomorrow.

December 7, 2024Dec 7 Author #15 Notts are now in 9th place, five points behind an automatic promotion place after today's matches.
December 8, 2024Dec 8 #16 MK have 2 games in hand, and unfortunately are in really good form now I'd expect them to break into the top 3 very soon. Not that surprising we dropped, had the game gone ahead and we'd won we'd be 4th - just have to make sure we do beat Colchester when the game gets rearranged!
December 9, 2024Dec 9 Author #17 Salford play Notts at 12:30 on Saturday. These are the other matches in League 2 to be played on Saturday 14th December.

December 22, 2024Dec 22 #20 That's your Charlie Adam booted from Fleetwood after they lost yesterday... Charlie Adam: Fleetwood Town sack former Liverpool man after poor run WWW.BBC.CO.UK Charlie Adam is sacked by Fleetwood Town after a run of one win in their past 11 league games Unsurprising but I think the issues run deeper than just the manager at Fleetwood. They peaked when they got to League 1, but they only got there by spending a lot of money. Now the money isn’t being as freely splashed out, I think they are likely to slowly slide back into non-league. It was never going to be sustainable, the fan base just isn’t there, this season they have been averaging about 2,750 for home games. It’s pretty much impossible to not lose a lot of money and have a competitive team…
