I am not here to stir up trouble or share false or misleading information. There's nothing mysterious about it, but if you listen to the right people, you will hear and learn things. The right people will never mislead you, unlike these X-kids or "in the know" fans. Common sense accompanies much of the gossip, so I understand that you need to be cautious. I am not profiting or seeking clicks, unlike the modern social media crowd.

Firstly, I believe Notts will be signing one more player but not on loan.

Macaulay Langstaff was never a serious consideration. Enquiries were made, but there wasn't any negotiation of wages or anything concrete about a loan.

Alassana Jatta has been the subject of two bids, both rejected. One is public knowledge, the other is through the grapevine, and it is believed to be more than the amount reported by the media. The second bid isn't from Bolton Wanderers.

The board is desperate to retain the right players in hope of gaining promotion this season. They are quietly optimistic and believe the squad is now good enough to continue their current form.

Michael Reindorf is a player Notts have been tracking, but he is not someone the club will be bringing in. The rumours about a war to get his signature are very misleading. It’s a case of being scouted and everyone else making two plus two fit their own agenda.

While we might be disappointed in Dan Crowley leaving, none of the players are particularly bothered. Not that there's any ill feeling towards him, but the Notts camp knew he would do anything to force the move. Certain key players felt he should have been sold at the beginning of the season.

well i dont read much into rumours and any fan with common sense would not get overly excited about what goes round the rumour mill. it is important that we keep jatta for the season, and i also agree that players are best sold if they wont renew. i sometimes wonder if notts would have gotten more for dan crowley had he gone with arron nemane.

The Macaulay Langstaff is just wishful thinking, just as much as it would be to sign Jesse Lingard. I don't listen to rumours, I prefer facts.

I go by the adage, when Notts tweet it, I'll believe it.

I don't mind rumours and gossip when it's labelled as such. Even stuff that's true (such as the permanent signing) isn't really worth talking about until the ink has dried on the contract.

I did have the impression that the "race" for Reindorf had been talked up by his agent, as is often the case. As for the rest - let's see what the window brings.

It’s interesting to read rumours and speculation but until the club confirm any comings or goings it’s not worth paying too much heed.

I do acknowledge and prefer the openness beforehand, rather than some of these people who base what they say on supposed conversations. I wouldn't be surprised if all this isn't true, but I am one who prefers it to be official before speculating. I don't think we should expect much more activity as Stuart Maynard did say that he only expected one arrival. We have had three, one to replace Dan Crowley or to provide cover and another to shore up the defence. I suspect any other interest was in case Jatta was about to move on. Roll on the close of the transfer window so we can focus on the business end of the season.
