Great news that Matt Dennis has won the League 2 player of the month award for August.

Proud to be a supporter for 58 years & counting of the oldest professional football club in the World. COYP

He's done a great job scoring so many goals, and that fits the way Notts want to play. I’m not taking anything away from Matthew Dennis, especially after that solo goal which came from a clever assist by Kelle Roos. The striker position is one area where the Reedtz brothers have really got things right.

Even though they tend to rely on just two or three forwards now, they’ve shown they know how to pick the right players. If you give a capable striker the chance to work hard and get into good positions, they will score goals.

Dennis is a brilliant talent, and he should only improve as he settles in and gains more experience.

We'll have to enjoy his time here, much like we did with Macaulay Langstaff. He's been a brilliant signing, and even though I still feel he looks less like a striker and more like an attacking midfielder. His attributes that allow him to retain the ball, as if it's glued to his foot until he shoots, and his relentless battling when he is pressed by multiple opposition players only to walk away with the ball, are great skills to have.

Re-watch the goal he scored against Bromley, where Kelle Roos assisted him. That was one of the purest goals we have scored; it reminded me of how Enzio Boldewijn would have a burst of brilliance.

Yet Dennis has a much higher quality about himself, and his confidence seems unmatched.

A field where dreams become reality.

It’s great to see Matt Dennis doing well. He looks like a strong striker and moves around the pitch with purpose. He’s good at keeping hold of the ball, a bit like Alassana Jatta, but Dennis has that extra ability to drive forward while Jatta tends to hold play up. It’s a proud moment for the club and for Dennis to be named League Two Player of the Month.

Matthew Dennis has been playing really well. He’s done a great job since joining the team and I think he really deserves the award. It would be amazing if Mai Traore starts playing his best too. Then we’d have three strikers all scoring goals and causing problems for other teams.

I’m really happy for Dennis. Winning League Two Player of the Month is a big deal and he’s earned it.

It’s great to see a Notts player win something like the EFL League Two Player of the Month. Matt Dennis really deserves it. He’s been brilliant since joining, and even in games where the team didn’t play well, like against Barrow, he still stood out and gave us something to cheer about.

its nice when we have a striker that is capable of scoring braces, creating goals from solo runs and to see him settle in so well i think he has done amazing. i think it will have helped that he was the main focus whilst jatta was suspended, at least initially and its now when they can form a formidable team together. other club fans can say we are biased, but i believe he does deserve the player of the month award.

Having the composure infront of goal and under pressure defines a goalscorer Dennis has that coupled with being in the right place at the right time he has the potential to achieve great hieghts. Good for him and the club that he was rewarded for his terrific start to the season long may it continue.

Definitely well deserved! He looks the complete striker. His two goals against Bromley show that to me. His first a solo goal cutting in from the left and a great finish. The second, although not the tallest, timed his jump perfectly to head in against a very strong defensive Bromley back line. Well done Matt Dennis!

Some were sceptical about his arrival, with reason, due to his goalscoring record. But he's proving what he's capable of in front of goal so far hence being given this award which has been well deserved.

Long may this form of his continue.

Congrates Matt on a Well Deserved Award. I only hope the Player of the Month Jinx doesn't strike, as it seems to do when Players or Coaches are given an Award. Macca being the acceptance. Hope Matt goes on and scores many more goals in the Black & White Stripes (if he doesn't get Sold in January of Course)
