Latest League 2 Table. Notts in 5th place, two points off top.

December was always going to be a pig of a month...

But with Cheltenham (a) Harrogate (h) and Colchester (h) coming next we could be going into that month in a really lofty position

A bit like the PON prediction league, only 5 pts cover the top 13 places in L2 tonight

Notts weren't at their best but got the win all the same with two moments of quality from Jatta. A win like this could prove priceless at the end of the season.

Amazing to think that if we'd beaten Newport (which just came too soon) we'd be top. Maybe we under-estimated the all-round strength of this squad. The bold use of subs, and the way players step up when needed, it's working really well.

That was not just a win for Notts, but a win for football. Notts were the only team trying to play football. Cambridge just came to frustrate and stifle us with the hope of nicking a goal. I have no complaints about the first half performance, Cambridge made it very difficult with their tactics as others have this season. The pleasing thing for me is in the second half we continued to try and play football and got what we deserved. Likewise, Cambridge got what they deserved, nothing!

The two goals by Jatta that won the game for Notts.

Great result after a fairly dour and frustrating struggle.

Thought Robbo & Grant showed some lovely touches, flicks and challenges - we could have lost impetus when they went off but we kept going and Dennis & Iorpenda provided similar spark. Jatta & Dennis actually looked comfortable in tandem.

Ness had the tricky task of coming on to replace McDonald and he certainly stepped up to the plate. Never put a foot wrong and won everything in the air.

Cambridge were big, ugly & crude - no wonder they don’t score many goals!

Excellent 3 points. Move on, next business.
