A massive win for Notts tonight against an inform team. This win takes Notts into a promotion place in League 2 for the first time this season.

Notts had a brilliant first half & could have been double their actual lead at half time. Cheltenham came back into it in the 2nd half but Notts held out for that vital win.

So who is your man of the match for Notts? I have chosen the starting eleven for you to make your choice from.

Those players are,

Roos, Macari, Ness Bedeau, Tsaroulla, Robertson, Iorpenda, Bennetts, Grant, Hall, Jatta.

Some great performances tonight.

I thought Ness was excellent. Vindicated MP sticking with him over Platt.

Jatta's formula of goal + great hold up play + defensive work would usually win MoM...

But my vote's for Robertson. Thought he was immense tonight and played a great all-round game. Maybe his best game in a Notts shirt

One thing I've noticed on these threads is how many different MoM performers we get. Yes, we get the multiple winners like Palmer, McDonald and Jatta, but so many others are capable of being the best player on any given day.

Quite a few good performances, Robertson, Hall, Bennett’s but my vote goes to Jatta who ran non stop for the team and scored a good goal. It’s 5 in 4 games now, excellent stuff, I hope we can keep him in January.

Robbo for me, energetic & involved all night. He’s combative and creative, a very solid 99 mins from him.

Ness & Bedeau didn’t do much wrong and Iorpenda had an excellent 1st half too. They were all in with a shout but Robbo just seemed more influential in both halves of the pitch and over the whole game fir my money.

Hall was often clumsy on the ball but he scored and looked a bit sharper in the last 20 mins. Jatta was busy, scored but his 1st touch let him down too often.

Mark Stallard on BBC Radio Nottingham.

"More nervy than we anticipated because the first half was so dominant.

Credit to Cheltenham, they changed their shape at half-time and came out as a more stiff task.

Notts held them at arm's length, Cheltenham didn't really create a chance worthy of the name. They asked questions, Notts had answers.

Most important is a full deserved three points and they're in the automatic promotion places after a third of the season - it's a statement victory".
