Story of the first 24 mins. Notts have had more of the ball, but no clear cut chances yet.

Get in! We're the only team to have risen to the occasion so far. Dream first half. My back is really sore now.

Let's just resist the temptation to sit back now.

We couldn’t have wished for a better half time score, this is fantastic but we need to focus in the second half we haven’t won anything yet.

Fantastic so far - such a sweet moment when that 2nd went in.

Norburn and Robbo great - they've got nobody doing that job for them.

Great we had Jodi Jones peaking at the right time - playing brilliantly and one of the best assists I've ever seen. The ball was going sideways by the time it was in front of Jatta. And now Mnoga on a yellow...

Without their small pitch, no tolerance of their usual antics, exposed for lack of skill, I'm not sure what they can do to get back into this...

(46) We are back underway

GOOOOOAAAAAL JONES

70 mins GOAL! Ness plays Grant into the channel and his cut-back's finished emphatically by Jones!

Think of the away trips next year. Leicester. Reading. Luton. Mansfield. Wigan. Blackpool. Sheffield Wednesday. Wow. Just wow.

Not to mention the short trips @Dripsey3 - Mansfield, Wednesday, Barnsley, Leicester, Doncaster, Posh... League One hasn't been this attractive in years!

I’m overwhelmed with emotion at the moment, I can’t believe we’ve done it, what a match, what a performance, what a team, what a manager, what fantastic owners. YOUPIES!

High praise indeed.

That first goal and the move preceding it a Premier League Club would be proud of it.

Wow. I've got to calm down somehow because I've got work tomorrow, but I'm still buzzing.

I was pessimistic before this match as we never look good against Salford. I was there against Bradford in 96 and I feared a similarly disappointing occasion. How wrong I was! EVERYONE rose to the challenge and delivered just when it was most important. After so many disappointments through the years, I daren't even hope it would go so well. It's the stuff dreams are made of.

A word also for Martin Paterson. So many of us doubted him. At the start of the season the squad looked a bit of a mess, he had no idea what his best team was and we started badly. Back then I would never have thought we'd be celebrating promotion now, that we are is testament to his hard work, tenacity and ability. Well done to him and well done to the club for getting this appointment spot on when pretty much the whole fanbase would have chosen differently.

I'm gutted I couldn't be there, but I can't wait to see Notts play in League One again! Feel free to share your photos and videos below!

You’re dead right @StarkMallard i was one of the fans bitterly disappointed when Patterson was appointed and if they’re honest I think most fans would say the same but how wrong we were, it’s been a great appointment, I’m so pleased for him.

I think I was still happy that our previous had departed to be disappointed! But yeah, 'underwhelmed'

What an appointment though. I know this is in the afterglow of a Wembley masterclass but he really does have all the hallmarks of a succesful team manager with a long career ahead of him

relentless focus

astute man manager - seems to know player psychology

tactically sound

makes good team changes, only when necessary

plays a positive and entertaining brand of football

incredible work ethic that has to rub off on others

and the list goes on, kudos to the brothers for this great pick

(and some credit to Gagliardi too, who at least gave us Luker, in the beginning Dennis, and in the end Norburn)

What a finish to the season. We just looked so strong and full of belief, full of 'failure not an option' mentality. The club needed this, momentum restored after a few frustrating seasons. Absolutely loved it at Wembley, I've said it before but our fan base is transformed.

Yes an almost unbelievable result, I too was in "I'm not sure we'll do it camp" but having watched us play so well I can't believe I ever doubted us! What a time to finally break our Salford streak. The players were incredible, to perform like they did in such a pressurised match in extraordinary hot weather, words can not explain the feeling of joy at that final whistle!

Guys, I think we've just got accept the Reedtz Brothers (and their super-computer) just have the knack when it comes to appointing head coaches. But yes a massive congrats to Martin Paterson and all his coaching staff because that play-off campaign was simply faultless.

It was an incredible day for everyone, one that will live long in the memory.
