Anyone want to see our assistant when he was slightly lighter, slighter hairier and in goal scoring mood for Hull City??

To be fair the last two are top quality strikes, would be good if Greg himself could talks us through them one day

Also note a certain Roy Carroll performing heroics in goal for Hull in the third video

Enjoy

Ah, these are good memories.

Jeez, is this how @super_ram feels when looking back at football? This is my childhood right here, it's the football I grew up with which was truly a mans game and for all the things which have improved, I miss watching games where grace and skill was naturally met by the majority of players who took the field. Whereas these days, you only need "pace" to be a hit.

Dean Windass a player who was deadly, yet every side had a top scorer like him and it wasn't found on the bench of Spurs, Man City, Chelsea or Liverpool.

Greg Abbott was a very gifted player, sometimes perhaps not the most skillful but he put a lot of what we see being installed around Notts. I also have to admit, I wasn't his biggest fan when he came here. I acknowledge his footballing brain but in terms of management, I didn't think he had much to offer and I was wrong. Having spoken to him a few times, you actually see that he understands much more than what he lets on by acting the clown.

People who are like that tend to be worth every gain of salt.

Man I miss 90's football, the mentalities changed so much that it's almost absorbed all the fun and I barely watch any of the top two divisions these days.

Thanks for sharing.
