Pet Shop Boys are one my favourite musical acts. Did you know that PSB's version of You Are Always On My Mind beat Fairytale Of New York to the Christmas Number 1 slot in 1987?Β

Without getting accused of hijacking a fred, PSB are an excellent example of longevity and good music. Another good band.

At this time of year 'Merry Christmas Everyone' by Shakin' Stevens goes round and round my head, even though I'm absolutely sick of it. Was going to find a YouTube video so I could inflict it on all of you too, but sadly the internet copyright police got there first. Bah humbug!

a favourite of me mams and one that has always stuck with me... here in all its glory and it suits us as a club too...

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned until now, Slade must have made a fortune out of it by now, it seems to be played a multitude of times every Christmas.

Slade and Wizzard featured a lot around the time when I was a teenager and in my early twenties, it seemed a Christmas party wasn't complete with playing them.

Fairytale of New York is probably the best Christmas song ever. Just please can we have no more Band Aid resurrections. This years version is god awful. Christmas wrapping by the Waitresses is anotherΒ one thatΒ I like. Oh and no Cliff Richard either!!!!

This and the comment sums my thoughts up also.

Mistoe and Wine :P
