Looking forward to todays game against Walsall.

Caretaker manager Chris Kiwomya is eagar to get his first win under his belt today as the team are improving as the matches progress, so it looks promising. Walsall are on good form so will also play well but Chris Kiwomya believes we can still get through this game with 3 points. Walsall will want to keep their form and progress up the table, but we also want to get back on track to get into the play-offs.

Neal Bishop is back in the game today so the fans will be happier again and the players moral could also be higher.

It will be good to see Neal back, I expect him to feature.

Spoke to a couple of Saddler fans (younger) and they dismissed us rather easily and expect to have this chalked down as a win for them. I don't see football so plainly to be honest, although at times I have similar views. (the two in-question do it to every game) :P

We've also had a new member join us who's a Saddler fan (sadlad) very friendly, enjoyed our exchange of pm's on a Walsall fan site.

I think this one as a draw all over it! I Blyth features at some point, as it would be nice to see what he brings to the team. I just hope we don't play 3 defenders at the back! I don't care about formations as long as we have a strong defensive line consisting of four player! It's also mixed regarding Bart or Fab, when was the last time we struggled to name our first team goalkeeper based on good performances?

i hope they play grof and mess up, should be a good game and will head to the chat during the game.

dont rate them tbh, either a draw or a narrow win.

hope we give craig a good cheer!

Interesting to see who's going to be up front, or even what the formation is! We've still not come up with a winning combination. 3-5-2 would leave us exposed at the back, but with added firepower maybe we can actually convert some of the many chances the formation gives us then switch back to 4 at the back? Really curious to find out what's happening!

walsall have been playing some good football recently, shrews have picked up too ourselves. i think i agree with Liam as to the result being a draw or a narrow win! one which could go either way to be honest.

goodluck notts!

Very interesting this one.Walsall at home on a fair run ,Notts struggling to win.I am looking forward to seeing the team selection as I believe you have all players available to play.A nice headache for the manager.I'll just say I don't think you'll lose.

Notts: Bialkowski, Sheehan, Liddle, Leacock, Boucaud, Bishop, Hughes, Judge, Campbell-Ryce, Blyth, Cofie.

Subs: Spiess, Kelly, Smith, Mahon, Zoko, Bencherif, Arquin.

Suggests we're playing three at the back again. Nice to see Blyth, this could be the kick that gets Arquin to some inspiration and I don't think he's lazy, just un-noticed but situations like this can only be a good thing with the right mental attitude.

Let's hope both our teams can get back to winning ways today.

We seem to playing the game in our halve, I think we need to find direction and run at them. Mansfield are winning, I'd like Notts to make me forget this. JRC and Cofie sound lively COYP!

well done for getting the draw!

hope you can go forward from here and credit to the players, the caretaker manager whos name slips my mind.

good draw, nothing taken or blamed but we should of won. im sure walsall feel the same, so at least we prevented that.

couldn't get the chat up today.

I was spending the day with my grandchildren yesterday so didn't manage to get in the chat room. I kept up to speed with occasional glances at twitter on my phone in between bike rides, video games, hide and seek etc.,

It seems we didn't start playing until the second half again but when we did we could have won the game, is that a fair assessment? Sounds like Judge missed a couple of good chances.

We were much better in the 2nd half when Arquin came on. In the first half we weren't getting the ball forward enough. However the pitch was the worst I've seen this season. I would prefer 4 at the back, I'm not comfortable watching a back 3. Judge missed chances and didn't have his best game, apart from a great clearance off the line in the 1st half.

arquin did seem to make a difference. people on fb have slates judge and jcr, was they bad or just found the game challenge? welcome to the community!

I thought JCR did ok considering the state of the pitch! Judge wasted opportunities to put good crosses in and definitely should have scored if he'd kept a cool head! Thanks for the welcome

So,didn't play in the first half , equalise and could have won. Also ended Walsall's run of home wins.So why not more optimism?

Hi Folks.

Well from a Walsall view this was a frustrating encounter. The pitch was an absolute mess-think its the worst I have ever seen it since the place opened 23 years ago. It was, of course, the same for both sides. Would have been interesting to see the game on a good pitch. Jamie Patterson brought down just inside the box and usual penalty taker Will Grigg converted. The 21 year old Northern Ireland striker (2 full caps) did his usual goal celebration of racing over to the empty family stand section to acknowledge the imaginary Saddlers fans there! I thought Walsall dominated long spells of that half but Notts County were the better team in the second half. There were no less than three Walsall penalty shouts turned down all involving live wire Febian Brandy. The Notts goal came from a high ball swung over  for Yoann Arquin to power home.. The tv replay suggests a push on central defender Paul Downing (nephew of ex-County player Keith Downing) but saying all that a draw was a fair result. We had a bit of good natured banter up our end with Manny Smith when he was warming up. Chants of "You should have stayed at Walsall" brought a wry smille from the centre back. Notts finished very strongly indeed and our hearts were in our mouths a couple of times. So honours even.

Joe- you were slightly out with my username earlier- I will forgive you though!

Tony Hateley- Hi again. We have exchanged posts before on YouPies.

Good luck to County (and yes, even Manny Smith) for the rest of the season.

I only noticed after reading this, opps!

Your manager was quite refreshing on the football league show, good and honest views. Not many managers these days call things how they are, which I feel he did.

That would of been a picture! (regarding manny)

Ps. You know Tony? Nice! It's a small world! (or internet)

Yes Tony and I exchanged a few good posts on the other channel. Pity I couldn't get down to the area quick enough to take a photo of Manny. He was well thought of here by the fans. Hinted he would sign a contract to manager Dean Smith but a classic case of agent power and two days later signed for you lot!

Dean Smith, our manager, is a former Walsall captain and yes he is very honest and at 41 one of the game's rising managers. Only been a boss two years. Ex-youth team boss and previously asst manager at Orient.

I remember watching a lot of matches at the old Baseball Ground when the pitch was an absolute quagmire but as you say, it's the same for both sides. Also nice to read  an unbiased report.Great

I went to the Baseball Ground three times I think it was. The first was a replay between Walsall and Chesterfield in the FA Cup. The pitch was a right old mess, yes! That was in 1976-7.
