Okay, with the signing of Bajner Notts have en-counted a modern day international sensation but who's been the biggest since you've been supporting Notts and what do you remember about it?

Mine would be Sol Campbell.

I was working when he arrived at Harts to hold contract discussions, I won't go into that but I do remember seeing people from Meadow Lane at work eventually every day, especially Fridays and the weekend! There was no bigger than that. I learned from sharing things like this, hence why I don't get involved in rumours. I only report of third party ones! Too much hassle...

What about you? #NoBajnerNoParty

PS. I've been busy keeping control of this outbreak!

i remember being told by a friend that a rumour of sol signing had been broken online, tho when sven arrived it was like notts had just won the premiership and the champions league. all the spot lights on us and it was very surreal!

John Chiedozie for me

Good signing, lots of optimism for us that season.

I think most would vote for Sol and Sven. I think when Rob Bristol posted that photo of Sol at the Lane it was a very surreal experience.

Overall though, how about when Jimmy came back for his second spell? Made a big impact to the whole outlook of the team. Got me into supporting Notts more regularly anyway!

Surely our "biggest" International sensation was Delroy

I don't know about international but the biggest sensation from my early days supporting Notts was when Tony Hateley returned to Notts, I was so excited on that day.

However when Sven joined us and later signed Sol that must be the biggest ever sensation.

Apparently Notts have had to ban the whole of Hungary from their Facebook page because of the number of comments they were receiving from that country regarding our new boy (can't spell his name).

Look out @notts-joe they'll be coming here next.

MAD veterans will remember Noh Alum Shah, a striker who came on trial with us and started posting himself about what a great acquisition he'd be. This was enough to convince many posters that he was the man to turn our fortunes around. And then of course there's the legend Delroy Facey. But I think it's time for a new cult hero - could the Hungarian Peter Crouch be the man?

The Munto season was just one sensation after another. The Campbell signing was amazing, but the appointment of Sven-Göran Eriksson was the real bombshell. That's when it all became "real".

The FB page has got 4,500 new likes in a week! In the end the admin opened a new "Hungarian Magpies" page for them to spam ...

Hey, that's given me an idea, why don't Notts print lots of T shirts with No Bajner. No Party and a picture of Bajner in his Notts shirt printed on the T shirts and sell them to the Hungarians, they'd make a fortune.

@tonyhateley - That will either be a rumour or a lie, it's impossible to block IP.Addresses on Facebook, also even if they allowed this (Facebook) - I doubt that they'd allow them to ban an whole nation. Reason I say this because of their policy, although website can do this it's considered bad practice and can leave you wide open to being sued.

Many years ago there was a hackers group based in Russia and it attacked a famous American site virtually every week. This company banned the 'whole' of Russia and threatened to pull his company out of the nation.

The morale of the story is the company was forced to abort it's threat for legal reasons.

Have they been invading this site too? :o

No, on our Facebook page. I haven't banned them all because some aren't bad and actually 'communicate'. Any outright spamming have been banned.

It must be a lie then @notts-joe because it was said by someone from the Media department on Radio Nottingham this morning, they interviewed him and he said they had banned anyone from Hungary because the facebook page was being over run with comments. Every post was being replied to with lots of comments about Bajner.

There's no settings for IP's, you can request FB to take action but they don't grant pages permission no matter who they are.

I'm a developer on FB and I see their private sections where they discuss changes, it's been requested that you can ban people who you know but who don't like the page, they have rejected that request. So, I wouldn't see them granting something which is a borderline to outright ban an whole nation. Anyway, they are still getting comments from people from there!

I suspect it's to please Notts fans who have complained, they'll be banning them manually.

--Edit--

You can 'hide' comments from a certain nation, it's not the same as banning.

In respect of players, in modern times. - Hughes! Absolute cert, major signing, huge coup. Greatest player we have signed for almost 20 years.

Prior to that, Rideout - couldn't believe it when he signed. We had some great names before that - Carlin, Avramovic, Fashanu, Chiedozie, Blockley, Sims & Reid spring to mind.

However, SGE has to be the most incredible sensation to ever have been associated with Notts County FC, bar none. Still find it hard to believe we got him. Mind boggling.
