It looks like our Leon might be linking up with another League One team.

He's been rumoured to be in talks with Barnsley over season long long, which would see him face us if he does agree terms. It would be interesting because it would see him also return to Meadow Lane!

It's funny because he's the player who hasn't ever settled with a team, when he looks to be in form something crops up but I did think he looked quite the player before his injury at Newcastle. Even when they were in the Championship, I recall him looking sharp against Forest and he partnered well with Andy Carroll.

Shame really because I'd have gambled on him to come here if I was Shaun Derry.

I can't help but feel this is like Nottingham Post's Leigh Curtis reporting on Shaun Wright-Phillips story, as Leon Best joined Brighton for the reminder of the season.

In a perfect world, I'd take a chance and sign him. I think he'd do well in league one. Chris Hughton is the manager at Brighton now. He might get the best out of him. Keeping him fit is the key.

Coming back from injury and limited chances didn't help him in his loan time with The Rams.He needs a confidence boost but I think he would definitely be a hit at a lower level.

I don't know much about him but I do think the Blackburn move wasn't the best decision that he could have made.
