I'm not sure of everyones religious views and hopefully this won't offend anyone but Steven Fry makes a very good case for atheism in this video.

If there was a God, Florist wouldn't be above us in the league.

People have their comforts, their ways of life and that's really done to them. I could never believe that a 'god' created this world because it's illogical, it's all science but religion in my opinion was created in order to give people principles, a method to control lives (seen for the better) and give people hope. Sadly I don't believe in any of it, I am content believing that life is about what you can make of it.

Once it's over, it's over. No white gates, no second chance.

A very good answer to a difficult question. Good to see Gay Byrne still going strong. Still has the look of complete fascination one second and complete boredom the next. Icon in his own right.

The big thing I agree with religion about is a sense of morals, something lacking in society nowadays.

Although some do misinterpret the teachings as we see more increasingly on the TV

Religion hasn't provided any sort of morals that didn't already exist. Actually, I take that back. It tried to add, or has emphasised, negative morality, such as torture and murder, among others.

Modern day morality has introduced an end to slavery, equal rights among women and homosexuals. In all of these cases, religion has lagged behind, or even worse, has opposed the advancement.

If I had to choose a religious standing for myself...

It would be "Bon Hommes" or Good Men, the old way! The Cathars' held this belief...

Who/what created god? How many wars are fought in the name of religion?
