Happy Valentines Day everyone.

So what have you got planned for today with your loved one? A romantic evening in? A lovely meal at a restaurant?

In the Hateley household it's always Valentines Day so we don't plan anything special in fact we don't bother with cards or presents either. Is that sad?

I think it's very much a younger persons thing and as you get older you get more and more cynical about the cost of flowers this times of year, the constant bombardment of adverts for valentines gifts/cards etc.

What are your thoughts?

@tonyhateley the resident lothario. "It's always valentines day in our house" What a smoothie     lol

Going out for lunch at the wifes favourite garden centre! and going shopping to treat each other.

In fact the wife choosing what to do when there's no match on and then going shopping for clothes for her means it must be valentines day every time Notts don't have a game on a Saturday.

Valentine's Day?I've only ever had one Valetines day card off old grumpy. He says it's commercial blackmail and he doesn't need to send an expensive card or buy a present to prove something.I agree with him and @tonyhateley

Together/Married 16 years and don't need cards etc to prove our love. My wife gets flowers from me at random times it doesn't take an occasion to warrant them.

Saying that I am having breakfast in bed so Happy Valentines all x ðŸ˜

Nothing we celebrate here, we used to buy cards but over the years that stopped. Cheeky isn't remotely interested, although for me it would be nice every now or then to actually have a meal for VD. I suspect that won't happen but hey, it's just another way to gain money from people.

A field where dreams become reality.

As Notts Joe said... we don't celebrate it, i thinks its just pointless commerciallised event. One day is not based on a whole life with someone.
