That's not McParland, that's Steve Thompson.

A birdie told me that Moniz was nothing more than gossip. Ray Trew has buried the hatchet with Charlie and is bringing the dream team back.

One word sums it up - shambles!

Not sure when, if ever, RT is going to learn to keep quiet until the ink is dry. Lost count of the ex Prem League strikers, big signingsor announcements and new managers we've been getting. It is borderline farce.

Think we dodged a bullet with Moniz tho'. Quite what his credentials for a lower league relegation scrap are I have no idea. What was thst all about?

As for bringing Tommy Johnson back, haven't we got enough folks to put those white discs out?

Folks, it was just a lame attempt at a wind-up on April fools' day. There was no need to torture me with those pictures!

Ha ha, that'll teach yer @DangerousSausage, I tried to find a picture of Jokey Scott but couldn't find one.

Lets keep this going just for @tonyhateley as his punishment.

Who the hell is this?

Carl Heggs. Was interim manager after Ince I think. Not many games in charge, but don't think he won any.

Correct. Forever famous for his emotional outbursts. We were beaten in both his games by Rochdale and Daggers.

I know one thing. I was gob-smacked when I found the win ratios for the managers. Colin Murphy got 39% Sam Allardyce only got 38% ?????

Very surprising to look back on don't you think???

Yes, I remember now but I couldn't remember his face.

Sam Allardyce inherited the fall-out from Murphy's tenure however - it took him 15 attempts to win a game. That weighs his statistics down. Murphy, on the other hand, inherited a team that was far too good for the third division, failed to win promotion and left us rock bottom having ripped the heart out of the team. A lot of managers start out in crisis situations. Those who inherited a stable club and money to spend (Scott, Curle) have a better win percentage, which can flatter them.

Craig Short's record also stands out there. Surely a victim of inflated expectations.

A better (but not perfect) way of judging managers would be to compare where we were when they left compared to when they arrived. When Shaun Derry arrived, for example, we were 24th, and when he left we were 20th, so we gained 4 league places. Keith Curle was both hired and fired with us in 11th place. What we'd give for that now! Sam Allardyce, whose win record was relatively modest overall, saw us gain 22 league places.

Actually, it doesn't work at all for mid-season appointments, so scrub that.

We have moved on, I would hope so!

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

You know I will always defend 'Charlie', as I did on the loony bin.

He was sacked at a point he shouldn't have been, he's a good coach and shares a good eye for talent. Provided a decent budget, he can do quite wonders but he isn't the best or the quickest out there. I don't think he's League One standard, so I would have to ask if this is a serious discussion. I assume not, however if we all are in the camp that we may be going down, he would be the right man to take charge.

For our sakes, I hope we are staying up.
