On a three year deal.

Is that when the fixed price season ticket expires?

Not at all surprised at this news, I am very disappointed but having said that I will get behind him. I really really hope that he will be a huge success.

I'm with Tony, he has my backing. I wouldn't vent disappointment because I can accept he deserves a chance, although I will openly admit to hoping we'd take someone on with more experience as I feel our squad needs a mentor. Now he's the manager I hope he moves on from what Curle would do, drop the useless formations and be himself. I didn't want Curle to go, although his 3 at the back and 1 upfront was just odd.

Hope he makes a name for himself, we've given him the chance and we need to be behind him.

I was really hoping for a big named manager. The football has been dull lately! I like the fact that he uses the youngsters but disappointed we have no strike force. Can anybody going to the fans forum next week please put details of what was said on PoN. Thanks

I thought CK was to be manager till the end of the season before a final decision was made.As an outsider I don't see that the situation has been made any clearer one way or the other by recent results. However ,this is the first step to getting everyone united behind Notts County and I sincerely wish him well.

CK needs to step away from what KC would do, he's been sticking to his formations and I think really CK would do well to play his own system, he doesn't seem to be afraid of change or making subs but hopefully we revert to using formations which can cause sides issues rather than the 3 defenders and 1 forward systems, which only work when the ball flows from creativity.

Seemed pretty obvious to me he would end up getting the job on a permanent basis weeks ago. I think it's a tad unfair to judge him completely at the moment mainly because he's having to work with the same squad under the same constraints as Keith Curle who - in my opinion, should never have been sacked.

I'm fully behind Kiwomya however, but I just can't see him lasting. Ray Trew is far too trigger happy and far too many fans already are against him. In many respects it's unbeleavably similar to the Keith Curle situation - pretty much destined to end in a sacking.

It saddens me to see so mugh negativity from supporters. Maybe it's just me. I grew up seeing us lose to teams like Barnet, Dagenahm & Redbridge, Macclesfield Town, Chester City and Hereford to name a few. For some reason, a lot of people seem to think we have a god-given right to be promoted purely because the chairman said he would like promotion. Only one problem - at the start of this season, I would guess about 16 clubs in this league were saying they would like to make the play-offs aswel.

I really wish the fans could pull together as one and get behind the manager and the team the way we did when Martin Allen was appointed and we stayed up. There was such a positive vibe about the club at that time and we were in a relegation scrap!

For a club of our size with a bidget like ours, a midtable finish in league one is hardly a diaster. Granted, the early stages of the season gave us much hope but how many times over the years have clubs been up there in September and end up finishing midtable or worse?

Sorry to go on, this probably looks like a bit of a rant, but I just think some of our fans seriously need to get real. I often wonder how they coped when we actually had things to worry about, but then I wonder were they even bothered before 2009/10?

Really saddens and annoys me seeing all the negativity sometimes :/

I'm thinking the same as most people on here, I won't turn against him but i was hoping for a more experienced manager.

He is doing ok, but needs to develop a better plan to get us winning more games. I think hes improved the amount of games we were losing earlier on in the season but we are getting alot of draws now... not enough wins. I'm sure as he gets more experienced the team will start to play better.

I'm sure KC  and  Mr Trew have plans to improve Notts in the close season. In the meantime KC has to make the best of the players available to him and ensure a good end of season run of results. If he can do this, then even without promotion, at least he will have a better chance of attracting the players he wants. It will also give supporters some encouragement for next season.

CK is currently managing another persons team. Ok, he has a few games left this season, but, not with his own players. (Apart from some from his development squad/youth team).

He is not able to bring anyone in yet. Therefore that's it for this season. He will have to rebuild his own team over the summer. We still will not know what he can do until Nov/Dec time. When hopefully everything will be rose again.

I am not saying I am against the appointment, although its not a choice that I would have made.

Good luck Chris. I will be behind you as I would any manager that is appointed (well maybe Steve Evans may have pushed me a bit far).

You Pies!

You have a point regarding support, we need to give him time and a chance to change the squad as to how he would like. Mr Trew will hopefully allow this even if the season doesn't start, turn out or end well. If we are clear of the drop, then I would give him the full season and see what he can do.

I think it's one most fans wouldn't have made, though as you say he deserves a chance. He hasn't done that bad so far, some of our fans say it's been the worst they've seen and I am unsure, yet I did come away from two games very disappointed and shocked, yet he could very well mentor the players. I really hope he gets someone to help him, someone who knows how to assist the manager.

To be fair it could be longer, sometimes people such as Walsall's manager, struggle and find it difficult to implement their ideas. CK could very well go into next season picking up the odd point, we sit mid table and towards the 6th month start to slip BUT it could quickly turn around and I would give him at least a year. If we struggle, sit in the bottom 4 or near for the majority of time.. That's when to act, though until that point I just think it would be nice to have a manager for an whole season!

It's just awful looking at our ex managers, when they went and especially the most we've had in a season.

Liam is right, we need to back him and hopefully the fans can appreciate what stability means. It doesn't mean throwing the manager under a bus at the earliest opportunity but making the difference for the good of the long term plan.

Really, It's so easy to judge but the time to change is now!

Well KC away record was impressive, it didn't save him but CK has the chance to learn and become a manager. He does need to find his own system, this will come with his own squad and the right players. I think if we stuck with playing 4-4-2 or had 1 upfront but with two versatile strikers/wingers it would work better. The mind need to link the play and become far more creative, the whole squad need alternative routes at creating chances.

I have faith in CK, give him a little longer! :)

Judgey would walk mostly regardless of CK, I think the only real chance of him staying included getting an experienced manager who could talk him into saying but lets face it. Alan Judge looks like an ex magpie, though if by some miracle he does sign, even you have to give CK credit if he's in charge if this does happen. Let him get his own squad! I'm sure he has contacts.

I think you may be surprised with the respect and connections that CK has.

Only time will tell.

I didn't mean sack KC in 6 month but give him a bit of time before criticising. He's only been appointed permanent manager this week and already he's being written off by some.Wait and see what happens in the summer and Notts fans may have more reason for optimism.

I think The Board should have waited until the end of the season before handing out a 3 year contract. If Notts lose all of their remaining games or carry on playing football that's not entertaining, it will be very difficult to get people to part with their money for next season. I don't dislike CK, I would love him to succeed but I am anxious about our future, particularly if F****t get promoted to the Premiership!! It will become increasingly difficult to attract supporters.

I think the board have been very clever with the offers for season tickets, this should attract people if marketed. Some fans have been complaining that CK has been given a 3 year deal, although I think it makes sense if they're going to support him through the tough times as Liam touched upon. I agree, it would of been a good idea to wait, although we're Notts and this hardly ever happens.

With our tickets being pretty attractive, the younger fans able to attend games. (great for families) I honestly think it might work, vocal support goes along way and I see this as work in progress.

Some fans are unhappy about the season tickets refusing to repurchase but this could be all the difference we need.

A fresh year, some new faces and a couple offloads. The more concerning fans on board, might not see promotion but a couple of seasons to gain actual stability would be most welcomed at least for me. I'm not against CK, despite hoping for an experienced manager but in life we need to make do of the situations we face. I can see some positives, much more with fans on-side.

I don't see them going up but we would have to step up our game, support included.

The 3 year deal is just a sign of commitment, something to bring the players and fans comfort. I would have given him a two year deal at the most, then a rolling year contract unless he overly impressed. I think it's a good thing by the club, I haven't seen the season ticket prices but I will renew. The football hasn't been pretty, the passing at times is and only time will tell. I wish Chris well! The end of the season will show us a glimpse, I will not judge by frindlies.

The new offers are good for families. I hope I never feel the need to not renew my season ticket but I can't hide my disappointment at some of this seasons football especially at home. I think I've had more value for money at away games than home games this season! I also want stability and continuity with a manager and I sincerely hope CK can put a team together that is capable of competing.
