Something strange happened on opening day at Doncaster, 2 bizarre goals....
 
late in the game Donny had Nathan Cameron injured, with Bury putting the ball out so the Doncaster player could receive treatment... following the stoppage and in trying to return the ball to the Bury keeper, Harry Forrester lobbed the keeper and the referee awarded the goal.... after trying to get the goal ruled out.... Paul Dickov (him who is usually the villain) apparently instructed his side not to oppose Bury and to allow them to walk in an equalizer...

So Paul Dickov has been rightly praised and lauded for his sporting behaviour....for once!

Yes saw that on the telly last night, a very bizarre incident but as you say praise for Dickov for doing the right thing.

Odd, just rule out the goal or allow it simple.

oh my, this is pretty bad. it makes the game look bad and not very professional at all.

We played Leicester few yrs back in the league cup we went in half time 1-0 up and during half time 1 of the Leicester players suffered a heart attack ( or something like that) the match then got called off.

 

In the rearranged match Leicester thought the sporting thing to do was to allow us to have our goal back so allowed Paul Smith the goalkeeper to run with the ball from kick off to score to give us our 1-0 lead back.

The forest story is a good tribute to sportsmanship which seems to be a dying breed.
