Can't wait to see him line up for Notts, though the game against Villa won't really indicate his true colours - I want to see us start notching up wins (again) in the league, and see what he contributes on the pitch.

If he does well it will pay off and be seen as worthwhile, if he struggles or flops people will forget their backing. I hope he fires us to promotion, Jon Stead will have a pacey partner now.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

Personally think this is a great signing

McLeod is a proven goalscorer at this level and bangs em in for fun in League 2, but then you have to think stead doesn't he's not a goalscorer he's more of a hold up striker and with stead holding the ball up passing it threw to Mcleod to pass it into the net what can go wrong ey?

Stead and McLeod should do well, both are goal scorers but neither are of the Lee Hughes class, between them both maybe.

@notts-fever, both provide great depth up front and McLeod should see Stead given more time on the ball.
