Crawley Rearrangement

Just wondering what all your thoughts are on the match against Crawley having to be rearranged. Do we find it good or bad and why?

potentially good, if they use the time to coach and organize the back line, there need to be some recriminations after yesterday, and the longer we have to iron those out the better, Mansfield in the tin pot trophy will give us another lesson IMO

Exactly my thoughts @PTID1862 if we use the newfound time wisely it could help the team, especially the defence, a lot.

As @PTID1862 said. Couldn't have come at a better time imo. Get them on that training ground morning, noon and night. Sort out the comical defending and get some passion involved in the day to day play. If we can play like that against Villa the question about commitment needs asking about Morecambe.

From a purely selfish point if view it's bad for me, the Crawley game is a match I was going to attend after missing a few due to holidays.

its not good, why call it off? we have loach and capable players, it would give moniz time to access the squad but instead, we call it off because of two u21s who may not play.

@liampie good point but wouldn't you rather invest this saturday in training and improving team chemistry so that we can perform better with our strongest side?

Rearrange for next Tuesday please Notts.

Date already set; it's gonna be played on the 22nd which is a tuesday.

no, as the way i see it. one saturday wont make the difference, after winning mansfield. we should have gone straight into this game with that momentum behind us.

Agreed that momentum is important, but it sounds like most of the team has spent the last few days either on hols or on the treatment table!

On the same sort of subject, ourr home game against Plymouth on October 11th is also on an international weekend. Surely that would also be postponed? Or are we suddeny going to find a way to cope seeing as its on sky sports?

Are Togo playing the weekend of the Plymouth match? If not, game will go ahead for sure.

You know, I don't get this decision.

Reason I say this is because I had been chatting with @outlawpie via the PON FB Page (Not PON Magpie) and I swear last season we was unable to get a game called off because we only had two players on international duty. Carroll/Dumbuya, yet Keane had been selected for the Ireland U21's and I distinctly recall it wasn't enough to postpone the game.

I don't think having time away from games under a run is a good thing myself, if your playing poorly fair enough but we have some decent performances under us - Villa/Mansfield x2 - All momentum gearing towards us getting results we require.

Albeit within cup games, yet the morale would be big for the league which is where we need to push on now.
