My first Notts game was a trip to Bristol Rovers. Notts lost 2-0. I don't want to talk about it.
Rovers are 2 points above us with a game in hand.
Rovers are on a 3 game winning streak. Their 2-1 win against Mansfield yesterday was incident packed. Easter scored and was sent off so he won't be facing us. Mansfield had 2 players sent off and Taylor scored a 98th minute winner.
Taylor and Harrison are their danger men. Taylor has scored 4 in 4. We won't get much time on the ball against them, they play a typical high tempo League 2 style.
I think it will be a 1-1 draw. Stead for us. We need to start picking up points on the road. It's a long trip on a Tuesday night and a point would be fantastic.

I'd hope we can beat rovers no disrespect but we should be putting teams like them to bed take out Easter who is a decent player.

Don't see any other threats hope we go there with confidence and finsh them off don't think I've ever seen us beat Bristol rovers away before

We should be in better condition than them, firstly our game yesterday was like a training ground exercise not sure we would have needed dragging off the pitch, where as Rovers had a hard slog against the Stags losing one of their danger players in the process, also we have a much larger squad which should be an advantage when games come quickly around, as for trip Dripsey, there are far worse places to get to on a Tues night, gutted it is on a tues though as we have family in the Bristol area and if it had have been on a Sat would have made a weekend of it. Good luck to the lads, wonder if they will travel straight onto Devon afterwards and have a few days at the seaside:)

Tough game in prospect, difficult week tbh.

We played ok in the 2nd half yesterday, opening period was scrappy and disjointed.  It was good to see Aborah starting to influence a game by pushing forward instead of all the neat footwork and fancy dan stuff in "no man's land" where it doesn't hurt the opposition.  Our best efforts, in both halves, were the result of him getting into more advanced positions.

Superb game from Audel yesterday too - keep him in for Tues night and don't let Swerts anywhere near the team.

2 tricky away games this week should test us out our credentials for a top 7 place. I'd like to think we'll do better than 2 points - we'll see. Anything less will confirm us as "bottom half" fodder tbh. 4 or more might well suggest that we are making good progress.

I see no reason (barring injuries) to change the team for this trip. I agree Audel was superb on Saturday and deserves his place.

Easter will be a big threat, I hope we can keep another clean sheet.

JermainEaster is suspended Tony got sent off at Mansfield 😁😁

So we should go there and really get all points difficult or not our squad is far better in truth but please play McLeod thro the middle not on the damn wing.

As for exter they have dropped off one point they was 2nd now there a few places above us so don't see why we can't go there and get a win same as Bristol.

Both only few places above Portsmouth at home be the big test as they lie in 2nd place if we can beat them then we may be all talking about promotion.

The football is good just need to kill teams an be clinical Yeovil wasn't the best game but we grinded it out and took our chances.

The reality is that we have only beaten 1 team, Luton, who are above us and we've lost to 5 out of the top third!

Unless we can find some decent away form and start taking points off of good sides we will be destined for mid table, at best.

There is absolutely no reason to suppose that we will go to the West Country and win both games! Hope we do,but as I say - 4 points would be a real bonus, I'd be content with 2 draws tbh.

One player doesn't make a team, if McLeod gets another card soon he'll be suspended but then we have Stead and Spencer.

Bristol Rovers will be a tough test, I see this being a 2-2 draw. If we play to our full potenial and without mistakes, I think we could easily win but Rovers are good side, one which knows League 2 perhaps better than the majority of our squad.

It's going to be difficult, we need to call upon our creativity and front line to make sure we take any chances that come.

Plymouth were played off the park and ain't nothing special
Accrington who are in top 6 should of been batterd anyone can beat anyone.

Portsmouth haven't been the greatest either struggled to beat Yeovil Mansfield ain't no world beaters to we can beat anyone if we play.

Look at Orient they slowed down to 2 wins and were right up there and Bristol will be tired and don't have a big squad

We can rely on Spencer and other half decent players to come in an do a job Bristol won't have that

Our front line consides of Snidjers De Silva Campbell Burke McLeod Stead Spencer all have pace and ability if they play at pace and a tempo

Bristol will struggle with that pace I think finally Eicardo is figuring out team out and if Stanley shows the same creativity he can cut any defense open

Good news that Easter won't be available, they will miss him, I hope we can take full advantage.

I don't like jermaine Easter his dive was more like a sheffi qucci or whatever he is called the striker that use to play at sheff Wednesday.

Agree only change I would be tempted is snidjers pace for Burke I'd also be tempted to see Milsom and De Silva on the bench with Spencer

I'd agree assuming Smith not up to 90 minutes midweek; hopefully Aborah will get forward more again. Come on Notts!

Good team for a home game, lacking defensive midfielders IMO. Agree that Smith can be left out for midweek, I'd prefer Curtis T as a replacement.

Happy with a point given that we hadn't a single shot on target. Rovers created chances but didn't take them.

Smash and grab take the point teams come to us and try the same technique we might slowly be starting to sort out away issues out .

If we can' the points will soon add up and we will be up there it sounded like we was trying to play the counter and a few times nearly got in behind .

Consecutive clean sheets I'm really pleased with that, shame we couldn't nick a goal but a point away is better than losing.

We are going in the right direction.

Posted

some fans on that Other board are not happy with a point and goin on how Mansfield beat a crappy Yeovil side in the last second.

I don't know why everyone thinks we're going to beat everyone on there own patch Bristol were 3or 4 unbeaten I'd take a point anyday away with our away record over a Inform side .

Hopefully get 3 at Exeter who are slipping down I mean Pompey only drew to Stevenage at home

Posted

A draw away at one of the better sides in the division isn't bad, if we keep picking up the results at home that should see us climb the table. And two clean sheets in a row!!!!!

Posted

a point will be valuable come March & April.

Well done lads, Scrappy or Pretty it's an away point

Now let finish off with 4 points from daawwnnn ssaarrffff (Down South)
