Test of faith?

Just like the affair discussion, I am wondering if anyone has had their faith in Notts tested?

I am not referring to just a row of poor performances but other things, perhaps seeing grass is greener elsewhere? It would be interesting to read the views of fans who have stopped attending games etc.

i am quite the optimistic fan, i cant say i take it all that seriously. results for me is what attracted me to notts, so i would get bored if we was one of the top clubs in england and always winning.

Lets face it performance, politics, club handling can be all thrown into the same bag and mixed up. The outcome is always the same, we love the club and nothing else.

Players leave and move on.

Owners come and go.

Performances are sporadic.

Notts will always be the club real fans opt for!

To be fair, I always take in what I see at other clubs.

I had the experience of being treated like a Colchester fan once, when I attended a special occasion and you will always see things which make you wonder. For me, Notts is a club which runs within my family - I have mentioned in other discussions about attending games like when I sat with @BradtheMiller and although it's interesting to see how other clubs fans connect.

I can't imagine supporting another club, I like and follow Arsenal but I am a Notts fan.

I have a collection of various football shirts, all of which I like the clubs but I wouldn't say I 'support' them. I would be interested to see other peoples thoughts to this also.

There have been things which make me wonder if the grass is greener, but at my age you do not switch loyalties very easily.

After Notts sold Paul Rideout, I almost stuck to staying at home on Saturdays but you end up missing the occasion. Football gets you out, I suspect its the same at other clubs, you just change one thing for another.

Moving to America became a big test of faith for me, I found myself unknown to results, signings and general news. With the demand of sports here, it would be easy to just start supporting another club in the states.

Yet i remain close to my roots.

No never, clifton is full of magpies and it would be hard to stop following them or to drift a way. I may not attend all the games but I still support the club.

This subject is right up my street. As I may have mentioned before, I describe myself as a football fan first & a Millers fan second. That doesn't mean I don't love my club, but I love the diversity of the beautiful game more. I am as likely to be seen at a L2 match (as I was v York at ML earlier in the season) as I am at a Premier League ground. I've done 73 of the current 92 FL & Prem grounds & thoroughly enjoy my days out, in fact I can enjoy a game more if I don't have a vested interest in the outcome.
