Disappointed, whilst I also felt the rumours had no merit - it seems Moniz couldn't weather the storm. Can we have a sensible appointment this time?

Coco the Clown front-runner again. I suspect he will be pipped by Mickey Mouse.

Either way, come end season, neither will be in a job.

The advert should read:

Exciting job where the chairman will back you with loads of money but it won't last longer the 6 months, unless of course you are the elusive one who can justify the massive wage bill,Β the fans will love you for the first two weeks then will blame you for everything from the black plague to their teeth falling outΒ oh and you also have to put up with a sh!t bag undermining you constantly.

*Disclaimer: Chairman may not back you with loads of money, depending on his mood that season/month. Regardless, he will still sack you in the same time frame.

Heard some notts fans on f,book saying mark cooper for the ML hotseat ??? As long as they know there way around the lower leagues i,ll be happy whoever it is :-)

surprised it took until this time of day tbh. Been checking my phone whilst shopping in Meadowhall all day and get back and he's gone!

No surprise to most, but suspect some will say it was a bad decision.

Very glad he cleared out the backroom as well. Just need to get rid of Branston as well now and were ok for the new guy to roll up and save our season.

We should be used to this by now but whether you feel the manager deserves it or not I know for me it leaves a sick feeling in the tummy, one because it means another person has not been the success you craved they would be and 2nd decent human beings have lost their jobs, as for the new man, Alan Irvine or Dave Jones for me.

Presumably anything less than promotion will see this new manager sacked, or if he loses more than three games at home before the season is done. Fingers crossed that sacking the manager part way through the season will be more successful than it has been the last half a dozen times. Has the chief scout been sacked as well or is his job safe?

Good luck to the new manager he will need it.

If we appoint Branston then I won't be settingΒ foot nor hard earned anywhere in or near Meadow Lane.

Hopefully what I've heard isn't true and we are going to appoint the other candidate I've heard is in the running, another former player, Ian Baraclough

It doesn't matter who we appoint it will probably end up with us slipping further down the league.

It won't be long before some fans are calling for the next managers head because he hasn't won every game home and away by at least 3 clear goals.

Just had a thought, did Michael (@hissingdwarf) get this prediction correct??

If so which way is the wind blowing manager wise Mr Fish??

Yes I did, but so did most fans at the Lane yesterday (apart from @tonyhateleyΒ that is)

I think Cooper or Baraclough would be a good shout for me. Steady and know the lower league enough to cut the poor players who will never see the light of day again and maybe have the brains to sort out the defence and bring Adams and Bennett back into the fold to do what we need at the moment. Be steady. And talking of that, maybe let Eddy be the fitness coach only and bring in another centre back (Sheenan is a LB for me.)

Having thought about it for a while it really does erk me that Ricardo wasn't given the chance to bring his people in alongside being able to run the club his way, would have been interesting to see the results if he had.

Can't see how Adams is even half as good asΒ Milsom never mind better, also never understood the signing of Scott Bennett in the first place. Sheehan is a better left back than CH i'll agree with you there, we need to get rid of Branston long before we think about signing any more players imo
