Peter Trembling?

Hello, first time poster so I hope I'm following all the rules!

If what is being said is correct where the Danish Billionaire doesn't want to be chairman, what would people's opinions be of it being Peter Trembling? Alan Hardy has ruled himself out unless it is only him and Ray Tree is better off gone right now so what about Trembling?

I know he was the face of Munto but he seemed to care as to what happened to us and he did allow McParland to build a terrific squad. I just wondered people's thoughts on this, also this all academic as I doubt Trembling would want to return

sorry @Melikepie.. would never consider Trembling a safe pair of hands. Patrick Nelson IMHO was the best CEO Notts have had in recent times

No way! Peter Trembling should never be let anywhere near our club ever again. He was either stupid enough to fall for Munto despite knowing a lot of things we didn't, e.g. the unpaid milk bill, making him stupid. Or he was in on it all along, making him a crook. I know what I believe. But either way he's unfit for the role.

If the mystery billionaire is real and serious I'd expect it wouldn't be too difficult to hire an experienced and credible football administrator to take over day-to-day running of the club.

Exactly.  We'll never know the full facts regarding Trembling, but his handling of things back then mean he is either a liar or he is incompetent, or possibly both.  I'm "95% certain" it's both!

What right do you have to tell me I'm wrong?  You're not my Granddaughter.

@DangerousSausage you are right with what you say, I think I was viewing it as what he did when the supposed moneybwas there. He did go out and get the squad that took us up and put in the foundations of the club as it is today , well was. Im thinking about the media team and such. Again, this is trumped by what you said regarding his munto involvement

Peter Trembling by all accounts was a really nice guy, I believe he was suckered into the con (rather than actually in on it) - due to his friendly attitude and naive personality. I don't think he's the type of person whom asks too many question, which sadly made him the perfect person to be face of the Munto takeover. Misguiding people always do this, it's a good fall back plan to have someone who is easily setup as a scapegoat.

I spoke to Peter many times, he always seemed approachable and didn't differ from fans.

Yet sadly, I wouldn't want to see him return. As a chairman he did okay, handled press conferences and did well with the fallout. That's about it, he's not someone I think would be able to repeat the process and it's most likely safer for him if he didn't. If the Danish takeover is 100% true - I'd like the buyer(s) to come public, I hope they would listen to us fans and appoint someone who may have already been a chairman but not someone who has already been one of this football club.

A field where dreams become reality.

@notts-joe The question on Peter should have been to call Munto's bluff earlier. Going out and signing players when the money wasnt there seems to be not a prudent way of doing business.

Thankfully Ray and @erindoors managed to save us. For that I am eternally grateful
