Who would you like Notts to sign?

Frankly it doesn't matter does it? The players we've got have shown that they're more than capable to put in good performances and get good results when things are tickety-boo - Mark Cooper was able to get a few good results, likewise with the likes of Moniz and even Fullarton was able to get a few wins on board. But once safety was assured, their heads dropped, and on the final game of the season, where I would bet that the players knew that Cooper was to leave, they just didn't turn up.

Let's face it, we could bring Messi and Ronaldo to Meadow Lane, and within a couple of weeks they'd be playing like amateurs because the toxicity of Meadow Chernobylane will have caught up with them and crushed their spirits to dust.

The best signing the club could make is STABILITY. Once that's there, I would bet that the current crop would actually play to their full potential.

I agree with @Joe Jones and his well written response.

Whilst I agree with stability, a back 4 of Hewitt, Hollis, Edwards and Adams will be just as bad as they were this year. Even a double decker of happy pills shipped from Download festival wouldn't increase their performances.

I'm normally not a supporter of drastic overhauls, but that back four needs replacing. We don't have any decent defensive players in midfield either, the goals against column tells its own story. That's the first and most important job for our new manager.

I asked Guy pickle who James norwood (25 goals for Tranmere) was and he didn't reply, I guess he just doesn't know what a good footballer is

Its easier to say who i dont want!! We have got to get away from signing mid/end carear players and go with young players who are hungry energetic and willing to give their all all of the time.

I'd start by playing Montel Gibson every game and then build the team around players of this ilk

The problem with signing young players is its very hard to judge their potential, we signed Adam Campbell and Burke in the hope they would develop into superstars but both haven't been amazing, players like Jose Baxter (24) and James norwood (24?) Is that they are ready and in their prime

Jose Baxter needs to sort himself out before he signs for anyone.

A lot of the kids that come from bigger clubs have had everything on a plate for them and struggle to adapt to the rigours of football in general.

Adam Campbell did alright for me, yes he's not the finished article (if he was he wouldn't be playing at our level) but you can see his hunger as he runs & runs & runs. Graham Burke just needs the right manager who can unlock the massive potential he has, yes he's a little lightweight but that is the area we should be targeting for him to improve on. He has what you cannot coach into players, natural ability and for me i'd rather watch players like him than players like Haydn Hollis.

I agree both Burke and Campbell have massive potential, but I think if someone skilled like Jose Baxter is available we should at least try and get him, I think he has a slightly better record than noble but is meant to be a better footballer

@ohstanleyaborah "massive potential" is rather OTT. Campbell despite his work rate still cannot deliver a final ball....Burke has ability but attitude and work rate are sadly lacking

Gateshead's David Carson a better bet than Campbell

I was being abit over the top but they wouldn't have been at prem clubs if they didn't have some potential

Are you or do you have a financial conection to his (cough cough supposed dealer)?

Talent though he is being off your t1ts during a game isnt good for anyone

He is very good when he isnt buzzing but like i said he needs to sort himself out properly as it is affecting his prospects of a job in football, much like Liam Noble who needs to have a thomas tank before a game to help him chill on the pitch as his churlish temper has affected his game
