Fantastic new award

5 German Championships, 3 German Cup wins, 2 UEFA cup wins - but now comes the best award so far for Borussia!

Gladbach have been awarded third place in the rankings of Veggie-friendly stadia in the 1. and 2. Bundesliga, as published for the 11th time by the animal rights organization PETA. Borussia got 35 points, only behind Bayern München and 1860 München (same stadium).  Quote - "Thanks to a new sponsor the offer of vegan and vegetarian dishes in the Borussia Park has been upgraded. Responsible for the increase in comparison to the previous year include edam and broccoli quinoa salads and delicious falafel wraps", according to the assessors.

Probably won't stop @Blackville eating Currywurst mit Pommes though.

Broccoli quinoa salads? At the football???

If someone had of been around me, when I read the opening part out loud - they may have asked why am I signing a Christmas carol. haha!!

I've eaten a few very nice vegetarian dishes.

The problem is that they all taste even better if you chuck a bit of chicken or beef in them.

I have to confess I've never seen it!

Chips and mushy peas are vegan too. Gladbach should stop being so pretentious.

Falafels are ace mind. Mainly because they're fried.

I can't see that taking off anywhere else.

Pie and a pint or salad and a water?

You'd be surprised, our very own @Joe Jones loves a salad and a water (ordered from a pub).:rolleyes:

It's okay SDA, it's usually before he has several pints - I am sure you know the excuses 'this is the healthy me' compared 'whheeeerrrzzz theeee neeeaarrrressttt booozzzaaa'.

In my defence, I don't actually order the salad - a certain salad-dodger won't eat it so I just take it off him and have it myself  My dish of choice is a nice, big, fat burrito.

And water?? The only time I'll get a water in a bar/pub is if I've been hitting the ale too hard and need a "time-out" drink. Lies, NJ! :o

Word of advice - never have falafels at a festival, unless you want to get acquainted multiple times with the toilets... I learn this lesson the hard way (or should that be the "soft" way)...

Crikey, this site has been well and truly taken over by the prawn sandwich brigade. Only a wholesome, vegan alternative to prawns. And with a healthy, low-carbohydrate alternative to bread.

I don't think German chips would be veggie - proper pork or goose fat I hope!!

For every one you eat, that's one less for me to eat...
