According to the Sun, would be a quality signing.

He would be but I doubt it's true. He'd easily get championship or at least league one? Unless he wants to stay in Nottingham?

Just read that in the sun , I'd take him back for sure, but like mentioned above surely he'll get a championship club or top league one club , may tip the balance our way with it being notts good manager strong signings made , maybe fancies some success in the city . COYP

Would be a good signing but i don't trust the sun, its a shambles of a paper, unless it ends up in the post or something concrete comes out i will be sceptical

Apparently he was at the ilson game today!

Interesting @ohstanleyaborah , is there maybe substance in the rumour ??

Perhaps, i wasn't there but my mate said he was there

Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds and Ipswich are reported in for him.

I do not see how we can compete with those types of teams? This is probably just the rumour mill doing overtime.

Perhaps he wants to stay in Nottingham ? I can confirm he was at the game today, he has only played for 3 clubs other than us so he might want to come back

I'd love to see him in the Notts team BUT I just can't see him dropping down to League 2 at 30. Cracking defender would work wonders for us if he could stay fit..

Its one of them we'll have to see pan out, as there could be many different reasons why he attends certain friendlies and I would have thought nearby clubs would be interested in him. He can still live here and travel, however he would be a cracking addition if we did sign him.

John Sheridan would have player that would bring a surge in sales and add much more needed optimism.

I would prefer Louis Laing to return....but both will likely command significant wages?

He probably would but hes hardly played at Motherwell, then again they don't play many games in Scotland anyway, id gladly have him back though

I would suspect Laing is considerably lower in wages than Wilson, I'm told that's part of the reason why Forest didn't renew his contract - whereas Louis Laing doesn't really have the experience yet to command a high salary. I would too would love to see Louis Laing but his career should be on the up.

Wilson may drop down to rebuild things but I still can't see it.

Would be awesome if true, Wilson at 30 should be twice the player the raw teenager we saw was. Then again, the S*n says lots of things...

hes the type of signing we would needed a few years back but he could still do a job. i am not worried about him being injury prone.

he ain't signing for us he's held talks with Coventry city and Wigan an Huddersfield are all intrested in him

Not surprising, I'd have been gobsmacked if a team higher than us wasn't interested.

Was apparently at Notts Walsall match again, as well as Nathan Tyson apparently. Wilson is a fan of them over the river, why is he taking in so many Notts games?

Posted

he could be keeping his options open, i think if we would be signing him we would have seen him feature in a friendly. i am not sure why hes watching us but i doubt we could afford his wages.

I doubt we would mess about trialling a player like that @liampie, that'd just alert more clubs. We already know he can do a job for us. I still don't think he'd drop down to League Two.

Good question, but he is a local boy. It's not like he travelled the length of the country to be there.

well if he was belived to be on 12-15k a week at florist I'd love to see what we can offer.

also Tyson is on trial somewhere so id say just a local game to watch

I've been told by various people that he wants between 7 - 8.5k.

I'm not suggesting this is true however, yet if his wages are anywhere over 4k - its a luxury we can't afford in my opinion. I mean I would love to see him back wearing a Notts shirt, yet the budget is more important than just one signing (like McLeod last season). It would be good to keep options open for January, so if we can find someone good on a modest/reasonable wage - it may allow us to sign the quality to push forward.

That said, its always wages and not injury concerns for me regarding Wilson.
