if we could ****** a win or even a draw it would make saturday even more exciting.

we could be in the play offs if the players hold their nerves and continue to put in steady performances which i hope is the case. notts looked good in the second half so bring on tuesday.

Exeter on a Tuesday night. Not ideal by any means. Exeter are 20th. They have yet to draw a game this season. 3 wins and 6 defeats. Exeter have lost all 4 of their league games at home. They won 2-0 at Stevenage on Saturday. Great result for them. Our last 2 trips to Exeter resulted in 1-1 draws. We haven't won there since 1998.

It's a good time to be playing Exeter IMO. They haven't found their feet yet. Notts have started to show what they can do. I don't think we'll be leaving Exeter empty handed. I'll go for a 1-1 draw.

will it be Audel in for Laing on Tuesday? I would still replace Rodman with Stanley

I doubt Stanley will be straight back Sheridan seems to prefer him as a sub. Audel would be my favouite to play if we stick with the 3 at the back. We need to work on getting goal sight as we play better once the nerves of not scoring has gone.

The logical change for this game would be to bring Audel straight in for Laing, anybody else would mean having to shift around 2, or 3 players. We could put Dickinson in the back 3, but he would have to play in the centre and move Duffy to the right (leaving Hollis on the left). This would then mean Milsom, or Audel playing at left back and another midfielder coming in if it is Milsom, so not a very straight forward team selection.

As has been mentioned earlier, it is bang on the right time to play Exeter as they have lost all of their home games this season and only scored once, so will obviously be nervous. Hopefully we can get an early goal and win this comfortably 2-0 (clean sheet please!), but knowing Notts we'll probably give away two soft goals and end up drawing it 2-2.

I've read that Audel won't be travelling with the squad due to a sickness bug.  That might force us into playing a back four with Tootle at right back.

Eddie Hoofball preferable to Hewitt. Pity Luther has gone out on loan, this could have been his chance

What's with the Eddie hoofball comments? It seems I'm missing something.

He can easily play it on the ground but its just a case of he doesn't mess about, unlike some and would probably settle things down - until he couldn't play after a couple of appearances. I would have him there any day of the week.

I'm hoping we can get a good result, yet I'm still not confident at all.

2-0, what would we do without Jon Stead?

It sounds like Exeter are playing much better this second half, so I hope we can get a third. 180 of our fans have made the trip, so they'll be treated if we can avoid the self destruct button. Can Notts do it? Will they?

This winning malarkey isn't like us.

Well played Notts, sounded like a good performance on the radio.

While listening to the match found this Zambian football link

Good result, scoring early certainly does appear to settle us as a team. Can't wait for Saturday now as we start our run against sides in the top half (and a tough one at Mansfield), with Morecambe being very beatable.

Come on you Stylish Magpies!

Great result. Yes Exeter are poor, but Notts did what they had to do. This is not a great league, you don't have to be excellent to get promotion, consistently good will suffice, Notts are ticking that box right now.
