Was it or wasn’t it a penalty?

Looking at this picture he’s standing outside the penalty area but his arm is inside, the ref had a good view, to me it looks as if he made the right call. What do others think?

Where the 7 minutes came from is another matter.

Penalty. Nolan does himself no favours with his blaming of referees when things don’t go Notts’ way.

I agree, he seems obsessed with talking about the referee after every game, even when the interviewer tries to steer him away from the subject to talk about the game itself, he goes back to discussing what in his opinion are poor refereeing decisions, he also seems to be getting more and more agitated on the touchline, challenging every single decision and in the 4th officials face every time.

I do hope he isn't going to turn into Steve Evans mark II. Incidentally did anyone see how Nolan got a bloody nose when celebrating our goal, he had to send someone to the dressing room for some tissue to stick up it. I suppose he's passionate that's one thing.

If the ball hit him and it didn't make movement then it's one of those difficult call, I'm not worried about the decision and I didn't see it so I can't really comment.

The question is why the ref allowed play to go on past the seven-minute mark. This ain't rugby.

The referee can add additional minutes regardless.

I believe we started flapping around with subs, yet time can be added for any valid reason - time wasting, subs, fouls, bookings, injuries etc. It's basically the match officials discretion as to how much time he allows the game to run over.

Nailed on penalty, I was in the family stand and couldn't believe what I'd seen as it was no threat at all. I also wasn't surprised to see the seven minute board as I guessed eight with all of the niggly things going off in the half, plus one long stoppage as well.

It was our own fault really as we should have carried on the same way as the first, but sat back and invited them on for the last part of the game as we always seem to do.
