awful game really, england lack application but did brilliantly with the penalties if you ignore hendersons awful attempt. no power or real placement! colombia cheated and should have had at least three sendings off, im just pleased england have progressed!

Colombia made it hard for England to play, they gave little room and their persistent fouling just killed any chance of setting the tempo higher than what the game was played at. You can tell there game plan existed of trying to frustrate England and to hope they got one or two players sent off, very unattractive football by them and it's what cost them the game.

If they played the game trying to win they could have caused more problems.

By far the worst set officials so far during the World Cup, the referee seemed scared to book them and half of what he put up with from the Colombian players should have been punished.

Nice fish tank @Chris is it yours? I’ll have to have a conversation about tropical fish with you we’ve got one too.

No, it belongs to @Magic magpie's dad Tony.

I watched the England game with Jake, Mark and his dad.

Ah, ok, it looked a nice set up, I find a fish tank is very relaxing I guess that’s why they have them in dentists waiting rooms very often.

Sorry I’m going off topic, back to the match, I’m surprised people are saying it was a terrible game to watch, I found it really exciting lots of incidents and tension.

Bring on Sweden hopefully they will be a little more sportsman like.
