Welcome from me too :waving: I hope you can find time to tell us a bit about yourself. We are a nosey lot but very friendly. I am the "certain member" that Mr. Ram refers too. He thinks because he has an early lead in the prediction league that he'll finish above me but he's going to be disappointed.

Welcome to Pride of Nottingham @Pies4u

Hope you enjoy and like our friendly fan site - I'll have to attempt to make a match chat sometime, I quite enjoy it and miss the earlier days when I tried to get it going. Only had 5-6 but was always good fun!

Don't be afraid to pop your head around our community, you're always welcome.

You Pies!

Many thanks for the warm welcome.  I was a regular in the Youpies chatroom on away match days if I couldn't make the game. That was always good fun with a small but dedicated bunch of mainly exiled fans. One of them, Dave Stoakes, (Magwales), who recently passed away was a good "cyber" mate of mine, never met him but we communicated regularly and he was a terrific source of enteratinment, knowledge and camaraderie. It looks like the Chat Room on here is pretty good substitute - with most of the Youpies crowd appearing for the Carlisle game, my firts visit.

I've been a Notts fan for almost 50 years, a season ticket holder for most of the past 30 years and a Vic Pres for about 7 years now. My father, who was an international referee, actually refereed the Centenary Game in 1962 and I have been good friends with Colin Slater, who was a close mate of my father, for most of my adult life. I often have lunch with Col and we chew the fat re: Notts for the most part.  Indeed, our family friends when I was younger included Bobby Robson, Brian Clough, Ron Greenwood & Jack Taylor amongst others, so I grew up around football and the people associated with it.

I guess I am best known for being 3rd highest poster on NCM - I enjoyed being slighlty provocative and having a laugh with some of the folks but a few failed to grasp the sarcasm/irony and good natured humour and took some of what we said far too seriously.  I used to like the great wit, banter and the odd bit of controversy on there - particularly with Lunaspie (an old school acquaintance), JLJ, Scotty, Bushwacka, Cookie, Magwales and my mates captcod and Soccerman (we sit together and travel to away games when possible) but in the past few years that board has just lost too many of the more able and amusing posters and they have been replaced by in the main by mouthy juveniles, trolls and far too many generally abusive keyboard warriors. It isn't as entertaining or well informed as it has previously been in my view.  Looking forward to seeing what happens around here.

Come on you Piiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeees.

You'll find things a lot different in here and any mate of Uncle Colin is a friend of mine, what a gentleman he is.

Come on you Piiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeees.

It doesn't seem that long ago MagWales found his way onto our site, he only posted once but I noticed him around, especially after we published an article. I got an e-mail from him, then nothing and a friend on here mentioned he had passed away. I remember him from NCM, as I do with many of the usernames you mentioned. Very saddening :(

Thank you for taking the time to share such a fantastic introduction.

I met Colin Slater (first time) at the End of the Season Awards last season, he randomly started talking to me and I hadn't noticed who it was. I am pretty shy in person and it's why he started laughing, I realized who I was speaking too. LOL

I'm glad you have found your way onto our site - We can only go from strength to strength and I am already very lucky, think the friends I've made since starting PoN is something quite special (however sad it might sound). This TonyHateley fella is one to watch though! ;) See you around @Pies4u
