Matt Tootle being pushed out?

The rumour mill suggests that Matt Tootle is out of favour by manager Neal Ardley.

It looks like he his destined for the exit door with the signing of Dion Kelly-Evans and the formation preferred by Ardley. I am alone in thinking this would be a real shame?

I really hope not .. he’s a great player and a really nice bloke. Who don’t deserve to pushed out of a team he’s given his all to. I really hope he doesn’t leave and he dose stayΒ with us. But if he leaves I can see him joining the Harrogate team John and him are really good friends. I hope he’s stays I really do.

If he's being underplayed, he needs to lift his game because I am sure Neal Ardley chooses who he believes are the best 11 on the pitch.

I don't buy these rumours going round that he's getting rid of those he did not sign!!

I don't listen to rumours, so we will have to wait and see.

I am sure those spreading the nonsense have suggested Will Patching and Andy Kellett are in the trouble causers club, simple fact Neal Ardley might not know how to get the best out of them.

If Neal Ardley is pushing any players out of the door, it will be for a reason and I doubt its because he's bullying them because he didn't sign them.

I don't believe the rumour, I think he was injured during the pre-season and has struggled to get back in because of Kelly-Evans. Tootle is by far the better defender, I think he's better at set pieces and crossing too.

Just lacks Kelly-Evans pace.

It seems that Toots has no future with Ardley. We don’t know why but what we do know is that the players Ardley has brought in are able to play various roles. That’s the only explanation I can see for it.

Look, managers who succeed understand that they need players who can follow orders and perform to their standards.

At the moment, Neal Ardley has loads of daggers in his back and if Notts loses next Saturday the same people who be brandishing their opinions - he has to do what'sΒ best by the club and of course himself.

I rate Matt Tootle, I think he's a type player and someone good to have around the dressing room.

There's no reason why I would see him trying to disrupt the dressing room, he'sΒ got a good rapport with Notts fans. I can't see him doing anything to jeopardise this and if he'sΒ the player who refused to go out on loan that is his wish. The club has to work with players, I think Ardley may need to fear injury or putting players out of position. If Matt was to be given a chance, he's the type of player who would take it and run in a good way with the opportunity.

If Neal Ardley wants him out, he will either have to find a way to sort his contract out so he mutually leaves or make use of him until his contract expires.

Neal Ardley has always stated that he is honest with players and anyone who has had dealings with him would say he’s a good bloke. I think when Tootle was injured last season Ardley thought he was β€œpulling the wool” until a scan proved there was a real problem. Tootle told him at the time that he would never fain injury and I think Β Ardley believed him. Quite why he seems out of favour now is anyone’s guess.
