XFL

So for NFL fans, tonight sees the start of XFL mark 2!

Looks to be far more stable and promising than last time around.

Apart from the combine, the next couple of months normally drag for us NFL fans until the draft comes round in April.

Hopefully the XFL will offer something for fans to talk about.

Anyone else out there going to watch? What team and how did you pick them?

This is the failed league/association that Vince Mcmahon started in the early 90's and has tried to resurrect due the Khan family starting AEW (they own rights to the NFL).

I don't see how the XFL can succeed, but aside from the back story - I don't really know much about it.

Yes it is the same Vince league.

Difference this time though is he has professionals running it rather than trying to impose WWE staff on it.

It will be successful, because American Football needs it to be. Various spring time leagues have come and gone, but this one should stick.

Games we’re ok last night. I’m not a big fan of the audio on the coach and players all the time though. Takes away from the game.

If memory serves, you’re a supporter of an NFL team @Chris?

Im sure from a few years back you posting regards it. I kept my own interest quiet due to the fact that the Browns ( my team for a long time now) aren’t a glory team. In fact, I regard them as the Notts Co of the NFL!

No, not me. I only like Basketball and Hockey.

I'm not a fan of other American sports,

Must have been another member on here. Sure I remember someone discussing it and me thinking “the Browns are going through a really, really poor patch so best keep stumb!”

Dallas Renegades would be the closet XFL team to where I live.

I might try to get into supporting them, from the American football games I have seen the sport doesn't appeal to me but with the XFL being new, this might be different.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.
