The Tackle

Here's a clip of the tackle that injured Gary Liddle. You make your own mind up but for me a definite red card and a penalty.

A rash, reckless tackle at best just outside the area. There were several sendings off on The Football League Show similar.Definately a sending off.Studs showing and very dangerous.Any news on the 2 casualties?

Deffo sending off, but outside the area by a gnats whisker

Of course it is, silly me.

Mind you if I'd been reffing I'd have given a penalty and sent the goalie off too for good measure because he was near. :joker:

Interesting.

Looked like a full blooded tackle from the Pavis, not sure it was a foul from directly behind Liddle. Seeing that, it does look pretty reckless and more dangerous than it did from the side on angle.

Their guy immediately walked away and got a drink of water, I did think he had an idea that he'd done some serious damage.

Not heard anything since but hope Liddle isn't too seriously injured. We really need him firing on all cylinders.

Very aggressive tackle, not sure studs were showing to be honest but the ref should, at the very, very least have said something to the offender. In my view a definite yellow. At the time I was convinced it was a straight red though.

The referee was certainly not protecting anyone from the rash tackles by BCFC players all afternoon, least of all Jack Grealish. I did enjoy seeing Grealish skin Moloney a couple of times after he'd been brought on to do a man-to-man job on him.
