We've are 10 games in, but collectively we've only rated the performances 6 times, 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses.

Here's the results.

Some of the results are skewed as they've not played many games, with the games they've played perhaps being when we've lost, scoring a lower rating.

Using a minimum 4 game rating gives a clearer picture:

It starts to show a clearer picture. The new Dutch boys, despite a bad start (especially for Sam), are starting to rate high consistently. DKE also has a solid rating, never spectacular, but consistent.

The rest shows what you'd expect for a mixed bag of results - average ratings. JOB is having a poor season thus far, with Brindley and Wootton perhaps being below par.

You can see the limitations of these averages though. Turner, who has had a nightmare start and only slightly redeemed himself, ranks better than Wootton. Despite low scores, he's had a couple of high ones which bump him right back up. Enzio has been hot and cold, poor at the start but better recently, whereas a Doyle and Reeves have been much more consistent throughout.

would be interested to see how this continues over the course of the season, i think it would make a lot of sense.

Interesting overview, thanks for putting that together! As it's so early in the season (so the results are easily skewed by one or two good or bad performances) there's a limit to what it can tell us, but it does show an initial trend.

It's worth noting that the players at the bottom of the first bar chart (Lacey, Thomas, McCrory, Roberts) have been struggling for fitness, which might explain some of the below-par performances.

The only thing I would query is why Wes Thomas is rated so low, when Tom Walker has been given a higher mark.

Are the ratings based on full starts? Thomas has made 4 appearances so far.

Half way through would be a better method of comparison.

He's only been rated for 1 game, as per the table. We lost it, too.

I didn't differentiate between starts and sub appearances.

Fair enough, that makes sense.

Below an update after 30 league games. The ratings are firstly an average of all contributors per game, then an average of those ratings across the season. I recorded a total of 23/30 games rated, with us winning 10 of those, drawing 6 and losing 7.

Removing the players that haven't played a great deal and in rating order:

This I think is quite a fair reflection of our season; 5 of the top 6 most highly rated are either defenders or the goalkeeper, which in consistent with our decent performance at the back. Our midfield and strikers largely feature in the mediocre range.

Overall, the ratings are quite low in what has thus far been a season that has been a  bit disappointing. You'd expect that title challengers would be rating closer to the 7 marks.

I'm not surprised that DKE comes out top despite a dip in form recently as he was a consistent 6.5 / 7 in many games before that. Rodrigues suffers greatly from inconsistency; he's 8 one game and 4 the next. Effiong, Turner and Barnett are where you'd expect them to be with very low ratings.

The average ratings of the main contributors are:
@ARLukomski: 5.7
@Elite_pie: 5.5
@Piethagoram: 5.2
@Super_Danny_Allsopp: 5.1

Interesting. The method might not be all that scientific, but those marks do give a fair reflection of the season. And the fact that only four players have managed a rating of 6 or above tells its own story.
