Tomorrow's Yeovil game off

Yeovil Town can confirm that our upcoming games against Notts County and Solihull Moors have been postponed.

This is due to a positive COVID-19 case within the Yeovil camp. The club has now entered an isolation period which will end on Monday 25th January.

What right do you have to tell me I'm wrong?  You're not my Granddaughter.

Joke club. They didn't want to play us over a week ago when they were healthy, now they can't play us.

Getting close to null and voiding this season, surely? We'll never be able to complete this season unless the league forces these joke clubs like Yeovil to play games when they are healthy, which they won't.

Exactly what I've said elsewhere.  5 of the 7 National League games tomorrow have been postponed, leaving 5 teams who are ready to play without a game.  If any two of those teams have an unfulfilled fixture scheduled for later in the year, surely it makes sense to bring it forward. That would leave a spare date for both clubs later on, and spare dates are likely to be in very short supply soon.

This would need the National League to be proactive and take control however, and I think we all know that won't happen.

At times like this, it would do us all good to take a step back and reflect on the bigger picture. It isn't all about Notts County. Voiding the season may well prove to be the only sensible course of action - but not until I've made up my 13 points in the prediction league.

This would be called "organisation" and is a dangerous, threatening and new-fangled concept for the National League. We're talking about a national football league that uses a standard Pitchhero website, for heaven's sake.

Now with the funding issue I can see at least a temporary halt to the season, maybe even a  premature end.

Yep.

It's the tin pot clubs and the piss poor board at league level to blame.

Instead of rationing the initial funds correctly for a subsidy to non-existent crowds, they allowed clubs like Boreham Wood to make a profit from the whole situation, while other clubs that actually have fans get shafted.

Now add in that the same tin pot clubs that are down the bottom end of the table and the golden money tree has dried up, want to finish the season and are actively lobbying to do so.

What a shambles. Welcome to non-league.
