Triple signing

As expected, we've dipped into the transfer market to sign two loanees - centre back Mark Ellis and right back Kenton Richardson - and one permanent signing, Lewis Knight from Bradford Park Avenue.

We definitely needed cover at centre back, and Richardson's signing indicates that Golden's injury will be longer term. But the Knight signing is most interesting of all - a young, up-and-coming and mobile striker who is already in double figures for the season, so a welcome change from the thirtysomethings we tend to rely on. Hopefully he has what it takes to make the step up (and gets the service he needs).

Again, great backing from the owners in difficult times.  Don't let them down Mr Ardley.

Knight's obviously the exciting one. Hopefully he’s a Roberts MK II in terms of grabbing a gem from the league below. Apparently, he is rapid - might encourage us to play some balls in behind for once!

So now we’ve signed Richardson on loan to cover for the injured RB we just bought in on loan... ????‍♂️????

I know it’s not my money being spent but I think D-KE can manage a couple of games whilst Golden recovers. And then Brindley should be back soon (assuming his injury isn’t worse than first thought). I know we’ve got a few injuries but the squad size is creeping up again, I thought we were over the days of bloated squads now… I wonder if one of the other loan players might be heading back?

Can't really argue with signing Ellis though, that position was probably the most needed. Ben Turner has been injury prone this year and if either Rawlinson or Lacey got injured we would’ve been screwed. Some good reviews from Tranmere fans about him too.

Good business again by the owners. Just hope people appreciate how much backing Ardley is getting from them because for me, this is crucial. We’re by far, giving the manager free reign and total backing in every issue. Can other clubs compare to this level of backing? I suspect not. This comes amongst the financial issues with the covid crisis.

we have an injury, we go shopping. Again.

I think it’s about time Ardley started paying some of the faith back with more entertaining games by removing the shackles.

The owners deserve huge credit. They know that we have a fantastic opportunity to get out of this division this season and are backing NA to the hilt. It's over to NA now, he has all the pieces he needs, now go and repay the faith the owners have shown in you. No more of the negative approach to games, no more treating opponents as if they were Man City, no more excuses......

I feel a bit rude for forgetting the owners - it's another example of excellent backing from them. It might feel like we've fitted a revolving door to the dressing room this season, but we did start out with a pretty thin squad of 18 or 19 outfield players. The centre half in particular was essential - I don't know what we'd have done if Lacey and Rawlinson had been injured.

Hopefully this will give everyone a bit of a boost. We're still little over half way through, so there are plenty of points to fight for.

pleased that they have come in at a time signings was needed, another striker can give some release and i hope they all hit the ground running.

The CB is maybe needed. The striker is definitely needed but not sure he is ready to go straight away, exciting non the less.

The fullback just isn't needed, and I was of the same opinion before he played.
