Match Discussion: Game 37 - The Grecians (H)
The thing is it wasn't a 'like for like' substitution, Campbell played well as a winger under Moniz but under Fullarton he hasn't done much. Now don't get me wrong, he's a brilliant lad and someone I highly rate but he's very inconsistent at the moment - which makes him very ineffective. Noble remained in a weird position, often drifting all over and he really does command his presence best from the centre of midfield. He can be an engine going forward, with his passing being something when used wisely can give us the advantage but his positioning today (and in recent games) is always going to limit his natural ability. Banton could have been far more use in today's game, players quickly marked him and he just panicked half of the time. His distribution and direct runs was a far outcry from what we have seen, even to a degree his crossing. In fact, he frustrated me quite a bit when he would take a man on then blast the ball into the opposition player losing the ball in the process. Whereas, he could have taken fewer touches and hit a more direct ball into the box without taking anyone on. This said, I still think it was mindless taking him off because without him we had no real outlet. Agreed he could have opt to drop back to 3 CB's, allowing an extra body to go upfront but really the game plan was awful. We play with no direction or edge to our game, it's predictable and very dated. Only real logic was to keep Banton on and give more power to the absent midfield, which is where we are truly losing games because they offer no protection to the defence and absolutely nothing going forward. Seriously, regardless what people think - we always looked far more different with Stanley Aborah in the middle. I know people are getting sick of this, yet we need calm players on the pitch and certainly our best. Alan Smith did okay for me, Curtis Thompson really doesn't seem to be having a great time at all.

Notts County confirm sacking of Jamie Fullarton
Good luck Jamie, it wasn't personal - at least not for some. Majority of Notts fans just wanted to see the club progressing and you wasn't the person to achieve that sadly. It's not fault, just the game. We move on.

I told people at the game today, and afterwards, I would have dropped Curtis Thompson - pushing Noble into the centre. Then Campbell and Banton could have been on the wing, which I know Banton wasn't very good but that's what happens when we use players like this. You can't rely on one player to be your only outlet, though taking him off for me was a terrible mistake. Not that I felt we could win the game, but a draw seemed possible. I'm not exactly bothered about the loss, just the way we did. I accept defeats but today, we didn't resemble a football team.

Shambolic Notts County torn apart by Exeter City
Very frustrating to see us pull level, only to end the game in this style. People won't say it, yet I am proud of the fans who stood clapping and I felt bad about not being able to cheer some who was visibly 'upset' when they spoke to me.

Match Discussion: Game 37 - The Grecians (H)
I'm preparing to head out now, just sorting a few last minute things out. Notts better do well today, they'll be letting my eldest daughter down and it's her birthday. Fingers crossed it can bring us some luck but it didn't help the previous Saturday when it was also a birthday held quite close to my heart. Anywho, Exeter aren't a side I think we should fear. Going into the game we probably will but I just want to see Notts pass the ball around nicely, moving sharply and supporting the attacks we create. If we can retain and build, it would make such a huge difference. We have given the ball away far too much under Jamie Fullarton - some players like Curtis Thompson look as if they're different players. Lets stop this rot and get a good result today! COYP

Ray Trew to sell Notts County to American company?
If Alan Hardy's offer doesn't reflect the valuation of what is required, then fair enough - especially if offers beat it. AH himself said he would step in the way but I can't help but feeling selling to the right person is important, bow out in grace and not for whoever pays the most etc.
-
memories of Jimmy
I watched the video on YouTube of him the other week. It confirmed a story I had been told as a child, basically Jimmy stayed with us - despite better offers from higher because he didn't want to let 'the people of nottingham down', the young players, board, chairman etc. *Sigh... You wouldn't get that respect these days.

Match Discussion: Game 37 - The Grecians (H)
Exeter is a team I feel we should play some good football against, however we have had a string of woeful performances and confidence is quite down. If we cannot get a point here or more, then I would be very disappointed. Like always, I will be cheering the players and trying to make an impact. However, I do feel it will be a very, very depressing afternoon and more so by the evening. I'm really not enjoying going to the Lane, it feels like a task - I know @Joe Jones feels the same way (probably worse) but this is the exact reason why a win would be good for all. McLeod needs to run for every ball and try his hardest to get shots away. Banton and whoever is on the wing need to be direct, Noble or the CM need to be creative and whoever plays in defence needs to be solid as a rock! Let's not rely on Loach to save us, go out and do it ourselves. Fullarton, make the right choices - build bridges and prepare our strongest 11 for this game.

Andrew Boyce: 'Only Scott Loach can come away from Yeovil with any credit'
It makes a refreshing change but makes me wonder why the veterans at the club aren't doing more, this downward fall is a mix of things but the players need to step up. Literally, I would make the players look into a mirror before stepping on to a field. I forget the film, but I think Robert De Niro was the actor who did similar. Haha! #motivation

Scunthorpe United defender Andrew Boyce 'to join Notts County on Friday'
Pool fans say he's a decent defender, so we will see.

Match Discussion: Game 35 - The Pirates (H)
I can't see anything more than a draw at the best, Bristol Rovers would have to be poor and we may need to perform far better than we have against poorer teams. You never know with Notts though, we may pull something off - yet it seems unlikely. It's the current mood right now, I've asked plenty yesterday and during the week and it's not improving. Well I won't know the score until I finish celebrating a friends wedding, I'm taking the pictures! Wish me luck! C'mon NOTTS give us some PRIDE.

Match Discussion: Game 35 - The Pirates (H)
@NewNottsFan he deserves to be after Tuesday. I can't believe people complained about him in the first half, I felt he did very well - to say he hadn't really played first team football with the back four. Yes he shaky at first but he really came into it. Notts really need to go out more lively and build forwards by passing it along the ground. Myself, I would drop Atkinson - put Hewitt back there and find someone else to cover as CB. I'm not remotely impressed by Wes Atkinson, he looks to have potential but his ability right now is disappointing.

Stanley Aborah: The Interview
It's interesting to the opinions from other clubs, I have had a few e-mails from follow fans I know asking me what the hell is going on at Notts. I'm not sure any fan could easier this question.

Match Discussion: Game 34 - The Daggers (H)
The game was very, very poor. There's clear confidence issues, whilst it's debatable if tactics being tweaked could make a difference. For me, it was one of those games where we required two up top - for us to be more direct and slow with building momentum. I have no idea why we tried to repeatedly put high through balls to create chances, we didn't seem to have the muscle to turn any of the decent balls into to chances but again, I think this comes from the fact Stead played alone. Watching us defend the ball was very frustrating, none of the Notts players got stuck in or stayed with their marker. How many times did Dagenham play a through ball which split more of our own players, for their only player in support to burst through and get the ball easily? The crowd was behind Notts for the majority of the game. I sat at the top and joined in with the positives chants which some seem to have forgotten took place, solely due to the fact outcries poured out near to the end of the game. Neither side looked like 'winners' but the opposition worked better as a team, which in turn created better chances.

The truth about Notts County
After watching one of my own pieces. 'Our Club, Our Passion' - I found myself watching this. It made me grateful that we are here and still existence, which in turn made me think about all the brilliant people I know (and how they support me). COYP!!

The truth about Notts County
Thereβs much to be said about being a Notts County supporter, the togetherness I have witnessed and been a part of has really resonated with me. From the first time I witnessed a fan actually using the Pride of Nottingham site, to the friends I have made from within the community, itβs something I am very proud of. Truth be said, this club is much better than most probably realise and the years of struggling has only brought people together. Supporting a local club like Notts is all about the ups and downs, which we have mostly experienced but there have been good times β Iβd like to see these return and for my own children to witness some of the success I have during my childhood. Naturally, this isnβt always the case but as with anything in life β itβs about making the most of what you have. For this reason, I hope to see the word we crave to return to Meadow Lane and that is βstabilityβ. I have said a lot about my reaction to hearing official news from the club, which makes a change because for a while now itβs been going around the rumour mill. However, it really is time for all Notts fans to stand together and show that we care passionately about the club we support β as this small difference could have a huge impact on the field. Hopefully Jamie Fullarton will think about implementing missing players, who he hasnβt yet given a fair chance in my opinion but regardless, I will be cheering the lads on tonight and I hope others join in. I would just like to see the depressing atmosphere disappear in and around Notts, for Meadow Lane to return to what we all know it can be β I know it hasnβt quite felt the same and even the players can do their part by encouraging the support by being positive themselves. I hope to see them run out, warm up, and show us some passion. Because when you hear local reporters talk about other clubs, such as the likes of Leicester City β having a real buzz, it makes me want to try think on the positive side, rather than allowing their comments about us not having it sink in. As I genuinely do not believe Notts will get relegated, yet whilst it feels like this β it wonβt make things easy. Letβs try to make a difference tonight, at least as fans we can try and get behind our club. Are you up for it? Match Discussion: Game 34 - The Daggers (H)
I think I've had a lucky escape, as my son won't be going tonight and I really don't like attending games by myself - luckily I've talked JJ into going. I'm still not nervous about the performance, though I am a bit about what reaction we can expect. I don't like the current mood, or some of the comments directed at players or even amongst supporters. If we keep the ball down, work it well and sensibly I am sure we can get something out of the game! it's important the players don't invite any pressure onto themselves. COYP! Not long now.

Match Discussion: Game 33 - The Pilgrims (A)
I for one will try to join in any positive singing, problem is few are prepared to get involved after being disappointed. I know what you're saying, it seems some are keen to do as you say but only a minority. Likewise, it's only a minority whom really want to make a difference. I know of fans who try to be positive, yet sometimes the support to lift the moment is there. It's like fans attacking fans for expressing opinions, currently with how people feel - it's just one of those things we need to move on from. I'd rather focus on the football myself, as most say - if they got down and did their bits people would back them. We need to see them go into the game and be positive, support will come because it's what fans do. Let's hope we don't allow the opposition in.

Match Discussion: Game 34 - The Daggers (H)
I actually feel positive about our approach to these. We have to go into the game confident, it's important - I didn't feel that way about Plymouth but losing 1-0 isn't that bad. If we can dust ourselves off and throw on some surprises, I think we should have more than enough. I just don't want to see anything negative, so I will give the club my full support - I will avoid making comments to JJ and Cobby about people who might be letting us down (in my opinion). Lets get all the points and stop this current downfall. COYP!

Match Discussion: Game 33 - The Pilgrims (A)
I'm not sure how we played, I didn't listen or really keep up-to-date with the score. I know they scored and that it ended that way (without further goals) but I have no idea if we put together a good performance. By the sounds of what fans have told me via Facebook, it would suggest it was a better response. That's promising - I'm looking forward to watching the highlights. See how the defence and so did. Hopefully we conceded a good goal, rather than one from a mistake or worse. COYP!

Report: Ray Trew and Alan Hardy sign non-disclosure agreement over Notts County takeover
10 million? Oooooooo, pricey. 2 months? That explains things. Is it still the 'supporters' fault? 2 months ago, it could have been resolved and handled far better. Speculation or whatever, this comment still stands. Good luck to the Trews - roll on a new era!

Match Discussion: Game 33 - The Pilgrims (A)
I get the feeling we'll be overly defensive today which wouldn't bode well going forward. I'm pleased to see the response from fans who have gotten behind Notts, each person will be different but after recent news - the only way we can move forward is if we stand by what we support. Hopefully there won't be any trouble today, I'm quite sceptical that it won't be so plain sailing but provided we just give them a game - people will accept it. I hope today is more about the football! I can't see Notts winning, a draw at the best but it depends which team turns up. I would hope to read that Stanley is playing, as I would hope to see a solid line-up which consists of a good balanced squad. Not focused solely on defending, not over packed to attack - finely mixed. COYP!

Match Highlights: Accrington Stanley vs. Notts County
Notts County put on a brave fight in the second half of their League Two game at Accrington Stanley but after conceeding three goals in the first half, the Magpies' could not undo the damage as John Coleman's side claimed all three points - the final score 3-2. Billy Kee put Stanley ahead after firing past Roy Carroll, and Rommy Boco then carefully timed his header to make it 2-0, after connecting with Piero Mingoia's cross to double the advantage shortly after. Boco then scored a brace after lobbing Carroll, yet in the second half after Jamie Fullarton's side made changes - Ronan Murray placed a well positioned shot from 12 yards which gave County hope. Adam Campbell then slotted in from the edge of the area, but the Magpies' was unable to score a late equalizer. Match Discussion: Game 33 - The Pilgrims (A)
To win this we would need to put on a solid display and comfortable performance, I just don't see it happening. Plymouth are a very good side, one who is in far better form and we will have to see the defence to it's just, whilst more advanced players will be required to take the second half approach from yesterday's game against Accrington. I'm quite nervous about if we end up going on a losing streak, not due to relegation but more pressing matters which will only become worse by us not making things which matter count. I mean the best outcome I can see is a draw, yet I don't see it myself.

Notts County leave it too late as Accrington Stanley survive late blitz
If only we had started off brighter, still it's a lose and I worry about what that will result in. I'm pleased we shown enough to get 2 back but we should never have gone 3-0 down. This team really does need to start learning, whilst Fullarton may learn from his changes. Good to see Murray and Campbell score! COYP!!
