  1. Jim Gannon ended up that way after playing for us on loan.
  2. Dan Gosling’s eagerness to join Notts is just what the team needs to retain its momentum. His praise for the manager and his excitement over the club's newest signings shows his dedication to thrive at Notts County. What stands out, though, is Gosling's willingness to challenge himself, even as he had the opportunity to stay in Watford. To see a player of his calibre enthusiastic about playing in League 2 is very encouraging. Glad to have him on board.
  3. This is what makes a team great, the ability to stand strong under pressure, resilience to turn tides in your favour, and unity under adversities. Notts has shown all three. Despite being pushed back on multiple occasions, they've held their nerve to head into the next round. Aden Baldwin's comment, "Anyone will do. We don't fear anyone, anyone will do," truly embodies the spirit of Notts County's performance.

  5. Hello, @JOHN BOND! It's great to have you here on PON.
  6. Good job on finding a replacement for your lucky hat. It’s unfortunate that it will likely be discarded, but the memories of wearing it will always remain.
  7. Hello, @Max Roberts! It's great to have you here on PON.
  8. The mural looks fantastic, it’s a very suitable tribute to the football legends of Nottingham.
  9. Hello, @Middlesex Magpie! It's great to have you here on PON.
  10. It’s great to be back on PON, reading and commenting. It’s a fantastic site.
  11. I’m pleased everything is back to normal, thanks to everyone who helped restore the site to its prime. Let’s keep moving forward!
  12. Considering their drop from League One, it seems Graham Alexander should have been granted more time. He’ll soon join a new club, as I’ve noticed MK Don’s have quickly found his replacement. Their dismal performance works in our favour. It might take them a while to recover.
  13. Hello, @Niederbayern Pie! It's great to have you here on PON.
  14. Hello, @Morten Johansen! It's great to have you here on PON.
  15. The journey of Notts in the Football League brings forth many cherished memories and a profound sense of pride. Each significant game along the way marks a riveting chapter in our club's timeline. Now, as we approach our 5000th game against Gillingham, the anticipation and excitement are at a fever pitch. It's another historic moment to etch in our club's legacy. Onwards and upwards, Notts County!
  16. @Piethagoram Adam Chicksen and do you remember, Tommy Johnson?
  17. This piece certainly stirs up quite a few emotions. The journey of Notts County, right from the top division to its 888th fourth division match, is beautifully woven in the fabric of English football history. Each landmark game brings back vivid memories of different chapters and challenges the club faced. It gives all of us fans and followers a renewed sense of pride. Going into our upcoming match against Gillingham, we carry forward the legacy of legends who have marked numerous landmark games. So, as we head towards another milestone, let's rally behind Notts and make this 5000th Football League match another unforgettable instance of our glorious history.
  18. It’s good to hear he’s still active in football. If I recall correctly, he was last playing for Cambridge United.
  19. Securing a win in the forthcoming match would not only keep Gillingham and Swindon on their toes, but it would also stand as a testament to our team’s grit and tenacity. It would send a clear message to our competitors that we’re not merely taking part, but we’re in it to win it. Maintaining our winning streak is about more than just racking up points; it’s about building momentum and cultivating a winning mindset within the squad. Each triumph bolsters our determination and reaffirms our faith in our capabilities. This self-belief can be the game-changer in nail-biting matches and tough scenarios. A victory would also give a much-needed lift to everyone involved with the team. From the players and coaching staff to the fans, everyone reaps the benefits of the positive vibes that a win generates. This positivity can see us through gruelling training sessions, aid us in bouncing back from setbacks, and keep us focused on our objectives. As we approach the weekend, a win would also afford us the chance to rest and rejuvenate with a sense of achievement. It enables us to look back on our performance with contentment, pinpoint areas for improvement in a constructive way, and anticipate our next match with even excitement. A win is more than just three points on the board; it’s a catalyst for positive transformation, a source of motivation, and an emblem of our team’s potential. So let’s get out there, give it everything we’ve got, and keep this winning streak going!
  20. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham and hello, @Ryan Raynor.
  21. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham and hello, @Laura Griffin.
  22. Excellent strategy by Williams. Nurturing young talent will not only shape the future of Notts County but also contribute significantly to local and national football.
  23. Blimey! What a match! Couldn’t believe my eyes as I watched Cameron's goal go in! It honestly felt like the ball moved in super slow motioned. Notts are darn lucky to have him. He’s not just skilled but his humility is what an ideal sportsman should possess. Respect!
  24. Notts County's pushing for dominance against MK Dons' fighting spirit. Tomorrow can't come soon enough.
  25. I suspect we will see the first glimpse of Junior Morias. I have hope that he will prove to be a valuable part of the squad. He hasn’t had much chance until now, so if Luke Williams decides to make changes which include him, it will be interesting to see how he does. Everything else is sort of to be expected. I do feel sorry for Sam Slocombe that he hasn’t had much of a chance. Aidan Stone is progressing nicely and is showing positive signs, but I still appreciate Slocombe. Accrington might be in good form, but I see little reason to fear them. I am more concerned that we won’t play as smoothly or calmly as we have seen at the back.
