    Read my post from Thursday!!! Yes frustrated, annoyed and somewhat angry ...... however it’s a draw away - it feels like a defeat because we should have won AGAIN against a team who had no points before today. Until the strikers take responsibility, find some composure in front of goal we will continue to struggle to win games.

    These are the fixtures that we are made to look silly. Teams everyone is beating always turn us over and I dread the same happening on Saturday. After the Wrexham performance you would hope we can secure 3 points but it’s Notts and my money is on a hard fought draw ...... The strikers really need to step up now and show some composure instead of trying to burst the net and only succeeding in blasting high or wide.

    I was expecting us to get beat but slowly we are looking much better. Another winning position conceded though ! We must start consolidating when we go in front. It’s another point !!!

    These are the games that define Notts. real boost if we win but odds on we’ll under perform or throw the game away, we’ve seen it so many times. i think we’ll lose, purely because a win would settle the fan’s nerves and take the pressure off the manager, but we are Notts and we never make things easy for ourselves. Predict score 1 - 2 or 0 - 1 ..........

    Would like to think we could win but we are way behind other clubs in terms of squad fitness. Turner is nowhere near match fit and until today we only one defender with any height and we can’t score for toffee. I feel sorry for Ardley ...... Notts fans wouldn’t be satisfied if Pep decided to join the merry go round!

    In fairness the squad will have only had today to get to know each other so although of course I would love us to get the perfect start by putting in a good performance and getting a win, I would also take a scrappy affair with a 1 - 0 score. However realistically I think it will be a draw.

    O’Brien and Tyson the only ones missing now then ....

    0 - 0 for me and I think Macclesfield will win so it’s goodnight Vienna.

    This will be the game that seals our fate I’m afraid. Can’t see anything other than a sound thrashing. Would love to be wrong, but I haven’t been very often this season. Probably be lucky to keep the opposition score below 4.

    It’s anyone’s guess what Notts side will turn up tomorrow, whoever the gaffer picks. its no coincidence that performances have improved since Tootle returned and Rose moved into midfield. Let’s just hope to god we can pull this off.

    So here we are again, how many more times will we be on the verge of safety only to be Shot down in flames the very next game - get a grip folks, of course we all hope for the best but talk of any escape just yet is ridiculous.

    We dominated the game from the 1st to the 92nd minute but found the same old problem, no cutting edge finnishing, no one willing to take on defenders, no one to create a chance inside the box. We were reduced to long range or speculative efforts because no one has the confidence to have a go. Tootle was the only one to make their keeper work with a fantastic effort but the strikers were again inept and ineffective.

    Well here we are again. ANOTHER must win game. Just as last season there are those who can’t (or will not) see the wood for the trees. it doesn’t seem to matter what team he puts out we can’t put in a winning performance. Until we stop lofting the ball long in the hope that all of a sudden someone becomes a recognised target man the goals for column will not improve. Nothing changes in my opinion, after the Lincoln & Mansfield results I was optimistic but since then the realism has returned and with it an acceptance of the inevitable relegation.

    If Stead is fit he will play, if Stead plays we’ll lose. It’s like starting every game with 10 men and one of those 10 give the ball away every time they touch it. I am not questioning Stead’s passion, he just attracts the ball being played up to him and he can’t win a ball in the air. Unfortunately i expect Tuesday night to be just another false start. Notts 1 Morcambe 2 i do so hope I’m proved totally wrong.

    I’ve given up predicting anything positive. There was a little bit of hope after the Lincoln & Mansfield games but that all fizzled out pretty quickly. We have no regular goal scorer which has been an issue since Christmas 2017. We have had 3 managers this season and we are still bottom, 8 new players (not counting Kewell’s signings) and there’s been one constant John Stead, what was it 9 goals last season about the same this season which is laughable for a player leading the forward line and he’s still first on the team sheet. Until someone realises we need a recognised striker nothing will change. The money we are paying Vaughan would have secured the player we’ve been missing. Nolan said he gave Hardy a list and got everyone he wanted and now he’s blaming Hardy for the mistakes made.

    Win lose or draw tomorrow I’m afraid it’s too late. A good result will only prolong the inevitable in my opinion. I have been positive all season thinking that things are bound to turn around but it’s been a continuation of bad fortune and poor performance which has brought us to the point of no return. of course there will be blind faith and false optimism but this is one great escape too many.

    The boss said that there are a few suffering after Saturday and won’t know until today if they will be ok. How many a few is, what position and who they are could be fundamental. I’m sure he would want to keep a winning team but playing with the intensity that we have in the last 3 games may have taken it’s toll.

    Why the obsession with Grant!! Yes he did well for us until Christmas last season but went AWOL when we really needed him to step up to the mark. He’s a decent league 2 player, average league 1 at best.

    We mustn’t get drawn into a situation where we end up with red cards. Bishop will be trying to intimidate people. I’m worried we will get mugged into disciplinary problems.

    I would love to be positive about the game but I am struggling to see us getting anything tomorrow. Not that Yeovil are much to shout about but we have been so poor so far that without more signings I feel we will be left wanting AGAIN ! Presumably we’ll continue to launch it up to Stead and he’ll continue to lose 95% of them...... 2 - 0 Yeovil for me unfortunately.

    It’s been a good week. O’Brien and Schofield are a breath of fresh air to me, a keeper is way, way overdue and these 2 signings could save the season from being a total disaster. After a decent start Evina seemed to lose momentum but seems to be getting some form back. Not sure he’s a long term answer to left back though. I feel sofor Terry, he never really got a grip of a first team start. He is a great lad and I hope he gets back into the football league really soon.

    Unfortunately I can’t see anything other than a heavy defeat. I feel so sorry for the manager.

    Maybe too much to ask for a win, but if we play like we did the first halves of Sunderland and Mansfield couple that with last week the dream could come true. we HAVE to start a winning run soon or we could be in serious trouble.

    I think this game has come a bit too soo for us. Sorry to say 2 - 0 but hope the lads prove me wrong.
