Joe Jones: Use all the coping mechanisms and excuses you want, the truth is Notts County have been cheated in Coventry City games
And the cold hard fact is we were cheated in so many other games this season by incompetent officials... there shouldn’t have been any need for us to join the playoff lottery. Football has been the sam as long as I’ve been a supporter. The game is run buy arrogant egocentrics who give not one crap about fairness or integrity as long as the can sit back and rake in their obscene salaries.

Match Discussion: Game 46 - The Hatters (H)
I am still puzzled at the poor performance at Grimsby. Surely knowing the importance of that game we should have gone in all guns blazing. If we had lost giving everything then fair enough but to come away with a performance like that was sickening.

Match Discussion: Game 46 - The Hatters (H)
I Think the only chance we have is if Luton have relaxed after gaining automatic promotion. They were beginning to flag in the last few games so we can only hope they have run out of steam.

Shaun Brisley wants Notts County to build momentum ahead of League Two playoffs with win over Luton Town
I can’t understand in a game that was as potentially important as the Grimsby game why the team weren’t buzzing from the off. It’s no good looking back thinking, we need to put that disappointment behind us !!! They should have been so fired up there shouldn’t have been any need for a team talk..... maybe there wasn’t, or it might have gone something like “whatever happens lads it’s been a great season” ! Maybe there should be a Notts fan in the dressing room letting them know what it means to us........

Match Report: Notts County miss out on top three with defeat at Grimsby Town
Me again sorry. I have just listened to Kevin’s post match interview and I am disgusted. He flippantly says we were 2nd best all over the pitch today. We NEEDED that win to give us a chance of automatic promotion. WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN RIGHT ON IT FROM THE OFF TODAY. I am sick to the back teeth, not because we lost, not because we won’t be going up but because of the lack of passion and acceptance of a pathetic performance in such an important game. Totally unacceptable in my book.

Match Report: Notts County miss out on top three with defeat at Grimsby Town
Another pathetic washed out performance. Gutless, spineless, no passion, little commitment and another loss against the bottom 3 clubs in the English football league. Here’s to another season of mediocrity.

Grant on the bench, Tootle in for hunt Otherwise unchanged.....

Match Discussion: Game 44 - The Glovers (H)
O’Connor does seem to try and lead when he plays, something we’ve been missing for ages. Not sure he’s match fit though. I would drop Grant, the lad has lost his way recently. My choice would be Hall CH, and Jones at FB.

What a turn up @Fan of Big ToneHow many weeks have supporters been bemoaning the lack of a striker....... the day Nolan picks the only alternative he has we play well and WIN ! I wonder if he will revert back on Saturday?

Match Discussion: Game 42 - Sky Blues (H)
I admire the blind faith of most of our fans..... automatic promotion was gone weeks ago, now playoff prospects are pretty much unlikely if you consider our opponents’ games in hand. Unless anyone is unclear ..... We can’t score goals we have lost to the bottom two clubs and we have the third bottom to play in our next away game (I have got money on us losing that one as a treble) Alan Hardy has now admitted that January was a disaster, missing out on 3 potential strikers. Hopefully lessons have been learned and next season will continue the start of something big.... but don’t let’s kid ourselves folks this season, we bottled it.........

Alan Hardy: 'Notts County gunning for League Two top-three spot'
Of course, technically our destiny is still in our own hands but the reality is that we don’t score enough goals. In the top 4 only Stanley are on a par with us on goals scored. Luton have 72, Wycombe have 63 and we have 54. We have now lost Mason Bennett, who I really thought might be the solution to our low conversion rate. If we had, had someone to give us that extra 10 or 12 goals over the season we would be well established in second place. Since Grant’s goals dried up only Stead has stepped up to the plate. I truly hope we can push on and secure a top 3 spot but as the games go on and the performances don’t improve beyond 45 minutes (whether it be a first half or second) I can’t see us reaching automatic promotion and then the worry is could we put together a run of results to get us through the playoffs! On current form I doubt it very much....... let’s just hope someone hits a vein of goal scoring gold. Ameobi, Grant, Alessandra, Husin, Noble, anyone ? PLEASE !!!!

Match Discussion: Game 34 - The Exiles (A)
I am trying to find a realistically positive outcome for this game. As usual, my heart says we’ll get something from the game but my head keeps bringing me back to Tuesdays 2nd half, backs to the wall performance. If we can’t play football we don’t perform and I can’t see us being allowed to play tomorrow. If we get a draw I think we will be lucky. If Stead scores I predict a 2 - 1 home win I am afraid. I honestly believe we need to win this, and the Cambridge game or we could be losing ground - and quickly.☹️

Samwatto2008: Why have Notts County slumped in recent weeks, how can it be fixed and which players can we rely on?
A great read sam thanks. I think the biggest blow of the season is losing Mason Bennett; I sincerely hope your estimation of his return is proved right but I don’t feel that optimistic, I can’t see a hamstring taking less than 8 weeks which takes us to early April if we are lucky. Grant’s drop in form has got to be worrying, Shola can’t buy a goal at the minute and other than Husin’s beauty we have had Hewitt pop up with 2 (equaling his last seasons total) only leaving us the ever dependable Stead to keep our heads above water. None of us know the other striker we apparently missed out on in January but I feel the lack of goals is going to cost us dearly. Tuesday nights first half performance was a revaluation after Barnet but the second half was a disaster waiting to happen (fortunately it didn’t) we are much better than that and if we had a true leader on the pitch I think that would have got back to the first half standard. I must say that Ben Hall was magnificent on his debut. I only saw him slip up once in the whole game. Husin will be a gem for us, and he’s OUR player ! Tootle is Tootle just fantastic but I see our lack of goals being our undoing. Luton have scored 72, Wycombe 63 and we have 54, if we were somewhere between those two imagine how many more points we might have. I said before the Barnet game there were 9 points achievable in the next 3 games we have 3 from 6 so far, can we make it 6 from nine? I am not so optimistic now and as answering your question, who is going to turn the slump around; I wish I had a suggestion. To be honest unless Shola starts chipping in or the midfield can start producing I can see us stuttering along with the odd draw and occasional win. I really do hope I am proved totally wrong. Before anyone brands me a doom and gloom merchant these are just my views and how ever the season turns out I have always, and will always be Notts to the core.
