Who is your Man of the Match v Crewe?
I voted for Matt Palmer because I thought he did well at the back. He helped Notts play more passing football and kept things calm when it got busy. He also joined in with the attack, and it was great to see him have a go at goal with a good shot that tested the Crewe keeper.

Is Winning All That Matters?
Notts winning matters, but it isn’t everything. We need to win with a clear plan and solid football, not just hope for a late goal. The best teams combine grit with good play.

Progress Report
Solid post. We need steadiness more than big signings. Notts must prioritise continuity under the Reedtz brothers.

Notts now have a proud record
This is history for the club and for our fans. It makes me proud to support Notts every week.

Gagliardi DoF leaves
I haven’t been impressed with the recruitment, but I don’t think all the blame should fall on Roberto Gagliardi. Any failure is also the responsibility of those above him. We don’t even know if he left because of football reasons or something else entirely. If the club acted quickly after seeing he wasn’t the right fit, then fair play to them. But they also need to admit that hiring him might have been the wrong call from the start. If we do get promoted and the loan players play a big part in that, it raises a question. What does that say about the long-term plan and how much credit goes to the short-term fixes?

Which Early Retiree Would You Have Loved to See at Notts?
Would Gareth Bale count? He was only 33 when he stopped playing, and with his talent, you’d expect him to have a few good years left in him. He was linked with Wrexham at one point, so the idea isn’t completely out of the question. It’s a bit far-fetched, but not impossible. For a player of his level, even a short spell could have made a big impact. It’s interesting to think about what might have happened if he’d joined a lower league club.

Understanding The Reedtz Vision for Notts County
They’ve earned trust for me. I’d rather logic than knee-jerk reactions that harm the club.

Martin Paterson Praises Winning Mentality as Notts Beat Fleetwood Town

Yeovil Town v York City
I think the club knew Stuart Maynard had lost support after the AFC Wimbledon game. Now we have to hope Martin Paterson can keep things moving in the right direction. I like how he manages matches, he’s not afraid to make changes or take players off when needed. Didzy recently said he thought he was going to retire. It says a lot when he leaves Notts open to criticism for not offering more money to keep him, only to join the highest bidder who’s likely to go up. His loyalty as a fan doesn’t seem to count for much.

Statement from the owners
The owners gave a decent statement. I do think they could have gone into more detail, though. It would’ve helped to confirm if any more bids came in for Alassana Jatta, and explain what the club actually did to sort the situation. Triggering his extension seems the most likely reason for the back spasm injury, which came at the worst time when we really needed him.

Do we need another striker?
I thought Mai Traore looked decent against Fleetwood. He was more involved and seemed to read the game well, even though it was just a short appearance. I think every club should have at least four strikers, even if one is a young lad still learning the ropes.
-
Curtis Edwards leaves
I’m sad to see Curtis Edwards go. He was never quite the same, and it’s those early games that showed what he could’ve offered. The club’s gone in a new direction, and Edwards didn’t really take the chance to get stuck in. I don’t mean to be harsh, but it’s always tough when you’re passed over for loan signings and stronger players like Ollie Norburn.

Pride of Nottingham Userbars for Signatures
These look brilliant! I’m really impressed. It’s great to see someone encouraging others to be more creative with their signatures.

Squad Registration
I think the club has settled well with the new signings. I’m sad to see Curtis Edwards leave. He brought something different. I reckon Jack Hinchy might be next to go unless they sort out a loan move for him soon.

Weekly Chat Monday 1st to Sunday 7th September
It’s back to school tomorrow. I’m hoping the day goes quickly and doesn’t feel like it’s dragging. The first day back always seems to move slowly and can be a bit dull. It’ll be nice to catch up with my friends, but for me, the day really starts at 3:15pm.

Match Discussion: League Two - Fleetwood Town (A)
Notts did well against a tough Fleetwood side. Fleetwood clearly came with a plan to break up the play and keep the ball in the air, just as someone mentioned before kick-off. At the same time, they wanted something from the match, which made it more lively. I think Notts could have played more directly at times, but overall it was a good 90 minutes.
