  1. A victory at the Eco-Power Stadium is long overdue! Time to turn the tide, Notts. Cheers to an entertaining match!
  2. Got to appreciate Luke's dedication and clarity. Come on Notts, let's give him the game he's prepped us for.
  3. It was a rather unique game in my view. It's not common to witness a team with so much possession struggle to score. It's a bit of a puzzling situation. On one hand, it's impressive to control the game, but on the other, it's a bit frustrating to see that dominance not result in goals. However, let's not dwell on the negatives! Keeping a clean sheet in an away game is fantastic. I think our players could benefit from more top-notch coaching on breaking down compact defences. Games like these help the management pinpoint areas for improvement. I'm excited for a more assertive approach in our next match.
  4. Welcome Roy! I assume you are a Roy, @MagpieRoy. Hello from me, to you.
  5. Bit of a frustrating match, but clean sheets are always a positive takeaway. Good to see minor tweaks in the line-up, too.
  6. RIP Trevor Francis, he brought some good times to Nottingham. Before my time, but I have heard the stories of what he did for those across the river. It's very sad.
  7. I watch the BBC news tribute to her, I thought it was very saddening to see such a brave person battle with depression and bi-polar. RIP Sinead O'Connor

  10. Fantastic news! Tipton sounds like a promising young talent. Here's hoping for a stellar season ahead!
  11. Superb selection of away games there, Clark! I'm keen on the Barrow match, perfect excuse for a Lake District weekend.
  12. The EFL must proceed with the charges even if the board at Barnsley has changed. Otherwise, other clubs may be tempted to disrespect the rules, and things will become harder to control. I hope they punish them quite strictly, as it will deter others.
  13. It’s sad to see another commentator leave the club, but it’s nice knowing they’re moving on to bigger and better things. Charlie did a fantastic job for Notts.
  14. Best Signing: Jodi Jones Highest Goal Scorer: Macca Most Improved Player of the Season: Tobi Most Starts in the Season: Matt Palmer Best partnership between two players: Palmer and Chicksen

  21. I fully agree with @ARLukomski. The friendly match was a useful exercise, and I liked the centre-back we had on trial. He seemed reliable.
  22. Good interview. I hope we can compete with the top teams and make progress.
  23. A huge step forward from the Stoke friendly, but again we know these are just about trying things. However, I like the fact that Notts, under Luke Williams’ instructions, tried the standard 4-4-2 formation. I hope we are able to adapt and play well in the league without relying on one formation. It was this change that made us competitive against Forest. If we had stuck with 5-3-1, I think we would have struggled to create chances. It was a good, entertaining game.
  24. It’s not a good sign to see them being given time, instead of the matter being settled. I think most of the time these delays are just to buy time and there is a real risk that the next time it won’t be paid but an attempt will be made to delay it even longer, which is very dangerous. I hope Southend manages to weather the storm.
  25. This pre-season match has evidently provided some invaluable lessons. Excited for the new season!
