  1. It’s a good signing, no doubt. Still, I do wonder if we’re spending more on loan players than we usually would. We’ve got, what, three of them now? I’m not too worried, but it would be nice to buy a proper keeper. Someone we can count on long-term. It’d also be great to get an attacking midfielder in. Someone who can create chances and score goals. There must be clubs out there with the kind of player we’re looking for. We just have to go and find them.
  2. Top effort by the travelling fans. Makes you proud to see that backing in Germany.
  3. Real club hero. Doesn't wear a kit but she’s every bit part of the team.
  4. Football needs change. A regulator that’s truly separate from clubs and the league could make a real difference. If they get it right, it’ll be a big step forward.
  5. It’s great to see the site growing and moving forward. The effort is paying off, and it shows.
  6. Jatta’s a pro. Training with the B team will keep him sharp, and once the suspension is done, he’ll be back and causing problems for defenders. League Two won’t know what’s hit it. We’ve just got to stay positive.
  7. Conor Grant’s got something about him. He can find the net and will improve with more minutes. I’d rather see him given the chance over someone winding down their career. He just needs a settled role and only shift positions if we’re short.
  8. Hello, @Peter Thornley. Welcome to PON and the community. It's a great site here.
  9. Hello, @James Macdonald. Welcome to PON and the community. It's a great site here.
  10. Hello, @Daisy-Mae. Welcome to PON and the community. It's a great site here.
  11. I heard some teachers talking about it too, and like you, my first thought was the same. It’s really upsetting. Sadly, you do come across false stories now and again, so it’s important to stay careful. As soon as I saw it confirmed on the BBC Sport site, I had to pause for a moment. It’s such a sad situation.
  12. Bit gutted about Bass leaving, but Griffiths could be a hidden gem. Trust the process.
  13. A top keeper leaving at the worst time. Hope we’ve got a plan.
  14. @DangerousSausage, I didn’t think there was any truth in it, but some people are saying and guessing that it might be. There’s always someone making up excuses or spreading nonsense.
  15. Can’t help feeling frustrated by this one, honestly. Just when we looked solid at the back...
  16. It’s early days, but I really hope it turns out well. I keep seeing people guessing that the panel will be picking the team. Surely that should be the head coach’s job? I’m not saying that’s definitely what’s happening. I just think the responsibility should rest fully with Martin Paterson.
  17. I still feel like the club or media team has caught us off guard by announcing the appointment just after the Denmark game ended. It doesn’t sit right with me. It’s a strange time to do it, but I’ll still back Paterson. He deserves the support now he’s in the role. What annoys me is that if this had nothing to do with Steffen Højer, the club could’ve waited until tomorrow. There didn’t seem to be any rush.
  18. I’m normally quite positive, but this appointment has left me feeling a bit flat. It’s taken so long to sort out that I can’t help but feel a bit uneasy about it all. I really hope he proves me wrong once the season kicks off.
  19. @Mapperley Pie, Its quite deflating as an appointment isn't it. I do hope Martin Paterson can pick up from Luke Williams and Stuart Maynard, and take us that further step by earning promotion though.
  20. Has Notts been trolling us by delaying the appointment?
  21. If the goalkeeper is good enough, I don’t mind whether he’s 18 or 35. Age isn’t the issue, it’s about ability and reliability. We need someone who can step in when needed, but also understands they won’t be first choice because Alex Bass is already in that spot. Even so, I still want them to aim to become the main keeper. They should be keen to improve and challenge for the starting role, not just settle for being on the bench.
  22. Can't wait to see how Norburn influences the midfield dynamics. His decision to join us is a testament to Notts' growing appeal.
  23. Glad he’s finally arrived! Sounds like someone who won’t take this chance for granted.
  24. Yeah, I’ll take a look. I use Discord for some of the games I play, and I’m curious to see how the community grows on it. The site will always be my preferred place to connect.
  25. Didn’t know too much about him before, but his story is something else. Proper hope he kicks on this season.
