Jatta's Red Card
I can't argue with that. Jatta struggled to handle Wimbledon's physical play and let it affect him. The only possible excuse for those images is if he slipped. But he threw himself into the tackle, and even though he won the ball, it was a clear red card.

Who is your Man of the Match v Wimbledon?
Notts played well but lacked the finishing touch. It took them some time to get going. David McGoldrick would get my vote, but George Abbott, Will Jarvis, and Jodi Jones all showed they were at their best.

Match Discussion: Game 37 - The Spireites (H)
Notts played well in the first half, and we should have made that count. Even though Chesterfield had a few moments, I didn’t see them as a real threat. In the first 15-20 minutes of the second half, we just couldn’t get to grips with the game. Both goals we conceded came from poor play on our part and a lack of organisation. I hated hearing all the negativity about Sam Slocombe being in goal. Defensively, when Chesterfield scored, I don’t think there was much Slocombe could have done. Notts should have done better to block or clear the cross. Chesterfield knew it would create good chances, and we just never dealt with it properly.

Who is your Man of the Match v Chesterfield?
I thought George Abbott played very well, winning the ball back and getting involved. Defensively, I felt he was solid. However, his passing and purposeful movement going forward really earned my vote.

Who is your Man of the Match v Fleetwood?
It was a long day, but on my way home after the game, I could only think of George Abbott. He truly gave a superb performance, and I felt we controlled the first half effortlessly.
-
Match Discussion: Game 32 - The Valiants (A)
Come on Notts! We can do this. The results and performances have been much better since the injury list narrowed down. While David McGoldrick and Jodi Jones are big losses, I believe in the squad.

Junior Morias to Woking on loan
He scores for teams in the National League but never gets a look in with Notts? Two managers, surely something else is off with him not getting a chance. I hope Woking signs him because we’re wasting his career.

Notts County Await News on Jodi Jones & David McGoldrick Fitness Ahead of Port Vale Clash
Whittaker stepping up is great to see! But we really need Jones back soon, his creativity is so important.
-
Who is your Man of the Match v Morecambe
Yes, I felt torn between Jacob Bedeau and Charlie Whitaker. I thought Whitaker played a more impactful role in the creative side of things and had several chances which tipped my vote.
-
Match Discussion: Game 31 - The Shrimps (H)
Morecambe had no real game plan. They wanted to see how Notts would attack and knock the ball around. Once they knew, it became the tactics of heavy fouls and just trying to stop us from playing. Those two goals really cheered things up because Morecambe didn't deserve anything. I think they were poorer than us at their ground.

RIP Mick Walker
My dad told me yesterday that he used to manage our reserve team and had been around for a long time at the club. It was interesting to hear at the game what Les Bradd and the other former player said about him. It's very sad, even more to know he suffered from dementia.

Notts County Secure the Signing of Guinean Forward Mai Traore
His record might not look great, but he may have played more as an attacking midfielder rather than an out-and-out striker. That could explain the numbers, so it’s worth giving him a chance to show what he can do. I’m pleased we’ve signed a forward, and he looks promising. Time will tell, but if this move works out, it could play a big role in our push for promotion.

Stuart Maynard Hails McGoldrick’s “Infectious” Work Rate After Notts’ Fourth Away Win
Stuart Maynard deserves credit for the way he’s managing the team, even though David McGoldrick keeps making the difference on the pitch. Each week, McGoldrick delivers, but that doesn’t mean Maynard’s work should be overlooked. Some fans still won’t give him the recognition he deserves, even though he doesn’t seek it himself. He’s focused on the team, and that alone shows why he should get more appreciation.

Match Report: Nick Tsaroulla and David McGoldrick on Target as Notts Beat Gillingham
As long as we keep winning, we’re heading in the right direction, and results are what matter most. The second-half performance was strong, and I don’t think we can fault the effort. No team is going to make it easy for us, and we have to earn every win. If we keep this level of commitment, we’ll stay on track for a successful season.

New Faces, Big Ambitions: How Notts County Are Preparing for the Run-In
This transfer window has been the best for some time, with a clear focus on strengthening where it’s needed. Instead of making one big signing or bringing in a few average but promising players, Notts has taken a smarter approach. The squad looks more balanced, and the new arrivals seem to fit well into the system. If they settle quickly, this could be a key step towards a successful season.

Notts County Academy News.
I love hearing news about the academy, but I do wish the young players weren’t left behind. It feels like a long time since one of them featured in a league game for Notts. That said, it’s good to see some of them gaining experience out on loan. Hopefully, this helps them develop and gives them a better chance of breaking into the first team in the future.
-
Maï Traoré to Notts
As a striker, Mai Traore’s record may not stand out, but I have more confidence in the way Notts County handles transfers now. The club carefully selects players rather than making random signings, which gives me hope. I'm m looking forward to seeing what Traoré can bring to the team. If he fits into the system and develops under Stuart Maynard, he could prove to be a smart addition.
-
Junior Morias Returns
Junior Morias has plenty of energy and determination, but it does seem unlikely that he will have a long-term future at Notts County. If the club saw him as part of their plans, he would have been given more chances at the start of the season. With competition for places and Stuart Maynard's preferred attacking options, Morias may find it difficult to break into the team. Unless his situation changes, a move elsewhere could be the best option for both him and the club.

"I'm Really Impressed With the Way We Defended" – Stuart Maynard on Notts' Resilience
I believe we should celebrate the victory without overthinking our performance. Just because Carlisle are at the bottom of the league doesn't mean it would be an easy match.

George Abbott Delighted to Extend Notts County Loan as Promotion Push Continues
George Abbott has been a great addition! His energy in midfield really helps us push forward. Delighted he’s staying till the end of the season.
-
Who is your Man of the Match v Carlisle?
George Abbott gets my vote too. I wish his chance had gone in because he deserved it.
-
Who is your Man of the Match v Accrington?
A true leader and an excellent performance by our experienced front man. I thought David McGoldrick played exceptionally well.
-
Match Discussion: Game 27 - The Owd Reds (A)
Notts played very well today, and it was extra special to see us control the game so well while keeping a clean sheet. It was pretty chilly in the stands, but it was definitely worth it. Doesn’t George Abbott look so much more confident since scoring his first goal for us? Great player. MK Dons also lost to Walsall.👏
-
Who is your Man of the Match v Swindon?
I thought David McGoldrick played well, but he was selfish at times. Alassana Jatta set him up for an easy finish, but Didzy's strike was poor. His team play did not seem to be there, which is why I voted for someone who put in a good individual and team performance.
