  1. Welcome to PON, @Emma Duffield. Its nice to say hello to you.
  2. I think with the squad improvements this summer, Maynard is now starting to get the best out of the players. It's a promising start from Notts, and I’m pleased for everyone involved.
  3. I think he’s an amazing talent, and he’ll only improve with more game time. I’m loving how Notts are handling him.
  4. Congratulations @BromPie! This is why I love the community here, and I’m happy to be a part of it.
  5. It seems that once they go behind twice, they fall apart. It’s not a criticism, probably more of a mental and confidence issue, but I’m sure each player tried their best. Good luck to them in their next game.
  6. I really don’t care. I find that a lot of people who get upset by things like this aren’t very royal-minded. They’re just people who complain about anything and everything.
  7. What on earth has he done to his hair? It’s a mix of Messi and some Spanish player I can’t quite name.
  8. I’d rather do this than any kind of running. It’s tough being made to run around a field with no purpose. In some sports, you have to, which I don’t mind.
  9. For me, Curtis Edwards was brilliant in the first half and still important in getting us going in the second half. I loved watching his cheeky chips back to Alex Bass.
  10. I think he's building a great partnership with Matty Platt and Lewis Macari. Now would be a good time for a youngster to learn from these three. He's done really well since joining us and fits in like he's been here much longer.
  11. I knew little before this, but now I can understand why fans who watched him play for us still talk about him. My grandfather said many of the best memories from the 90s came from games Devo played in. I assume Devo was his nickname, and that he should have stayed as a striker. I feel like I know a lot more now.
  12. I thought it was a big improvement compared to last season. We managed the game well and took the chances we had. I'm not sure how we didn't score two more goals!
  13. These are very good pictures, and I repeat my comment made prior that it's good to see you doing this again @Chris. Take care of yourself tho.
  14. I think it's a bit harsh on Cedwyn Scott. He's still recovering from a bad injury and just needs more time. Notts played well; it was a solid 90 minutes. Alex Bass could have been forgiven for drifting off, but he stayed sharp and focused until the very end. He could have played more as a defender than a goalkeeper, but that’s probably because of how we played. Accrington will sort themselves out, and I don't think they'll be relegated.
  15. Love Maynard’s confidence. Accrington might be a tough match, but I trust our squad to get the job done!
  16. Alex Bass has been class so far. Really hope he continues to be as solid between the sticks as he has been!
  17. Barnsley 3-2 Bristol Rovers Charlton Athletic 1-1 Rotherham United Cheltenham Town 1-0 Harrogate Town Colchester United 0-1 Bromley Doncaster Rovers 3-1 Gillingham Braintree Town 2-3 Woking Joker Gateshead 1-1 Barnet Hartlepool United 0-0 Halifax Town
  18. I think it's a very good insight. It shows the challenges that clubs at our level face, yet they can still create strong teams. I wish them well for their season.
  19. He’s an important part of the squad. Even on his off days, he can still help the team, and he’s still going strong at 36! As we say, he’s one of our own! I’m very pleased for him.
  20. I'm going to tidy up my bedroom soon, before I miss the next Notts game. ???? I can't believe how quickly the summer holidays have gone. It's been nice, but it hasn't been a real summer. I hope the days go slowly until Wednesday.
  21. It was a good win, especially because we were away from home. Swindon Town played some nice football, but I think Notts were much better defensively. Both teams had chances. We kept the ball well, but we didn't always use it effectively. Sometimes Notts gave the ball away too easily.
  22. I don't think you can just spend money and expect to get promoted. Look at MK Dons. They have a strong team, but they're struggling because the players they signed aren't settling in well. It will take time. Any fans who think Notts can just sign anyone are wrong. We have a good squad, and we can strengthen it in January if we need to.
  23. Is this from a match program? I miss Colin Slater. He was the commentator I listened to when I first started watching football.
  24. Is he still at Notts as a Player Care Officer? I think this is someone who checks on the players well-being and makes sure all the academy players are okay.
  25. Millwall will probably sell Macaulay Langstaff if they can't get the best out of him. It seems like a difficult situation for him. If they don't play to a striker's strengths, players won't score. He could be a good scorer if they figured out how to get him the ball. He seems to be playing to their style, but they aren't playing to his.
