  1. Hello @Up the Maggies. Welcome to PON.
  2. Hello @Bertinez. Welcome to PON.
  3. Sad he’s off, but understandable. He gave his all for the team and we can't ask for more than that. Farewell, Connell. You'll always have a place in our hearts.
  4. Every player has a value, and they all eventually move on. I understand the fondness for Macaulay Langstaff. He’s an excellent player at our level and also a genuinely nice person. However, the club needs to seriously consider any offers and take into account his role in the team. Since he’s been given the captain’s armband, I can’t quite envision him leaving just yet, and I suspect this will lead Notts to reject most offers. It might take an irresistible offer to change things. But let’s not get too upset about it. A new player will arrive, and it will give another player the opportunity to step into the spotlight.
  5. As for me, I can’t say I have anything thrilling planned. I’ll probably be watching whatever games are on TV. The rest of my plans will depend on the weather. If it’s nice, I might treat myself to a Sunday dinner at the local pub.
  6. I must say, I’m impressed. It looks good and it’s a significant improvement over the standard site that came with the EFL rebranding. I noticed that they offer an app on the platform. I wonder if that’s something Notts plans to use? I’m sure they’ll switch to the store if they haven’t already. It makes sense to use a system where everything you need is included.
  7. Hello, @BiggestPieInGlasgow. Welcome to the community here on PON.
  8. If my memory of history serves me right, Henry the 8th was gifted lions that he kept near the towers of London.
  9. He’s expected to step in and hopefully fill the shoes of Jim O’Brien. It’s going to be tough to match that passion, but in terms of ability and consistency, that’s where Curtis Edwards can step up. He can influence the players around him and hopefully do a solid job.
  10. I’m really impressed by his commitment to both his personal development and the club’s goals. It sounds like he’s ready to give his all and make a significant impact. Notts County fans have a lot to look forward to. Best of luck to Nick on this exciting new chapter!
  11. I find it difficult to take certain YouTube channels seriously when they prioritize flashy thumbnails over the substance of their videos. The focus on presentation seems to outweigh the actual content and points being made. In particular, there’s a noticeable bias in how the presenter evaluates England’s performance in the opening match. The manager is squarely blamed for any shortcomings, creating a very one-sided perspective.
  12. Scotland put up a stronger performance in the game, but unfortunately, it wasn’t sufficient to secure more than a single point. In my opinion, Switzerland played even better, and they deserved a victory. However, the final result remained a draw.
  13. While some might see fixture congestion as a hurdle, Maynard appears to view it as an opportunity to solidify team dynamics and test the squad's depth. The return of David McGoldrick is a massive morale booster but balancing the squad’s health with the goal of point scoring will be crucial in the weeks ahead.
  14. I was impressed by Maynard's balanced view on the controversial goal situation. Instead of dwelling on it, moving forward with a focus on improvements and positives is a great lesson in resilience. It’s this kind of leadership that can make a real difference over the season. His mention of the team's performance deserving more points than they have is both a nod to the squad's efforts and a rallying cry for future matches. The anticipation for the tactical battle against Crewe is palpable, and Maynard’s confidence is reassuring. It will be interesting to see how the adaptability he praises plays out in this important clash.
  15. Lovely photography captivates me; I appreciate nature frozen in a timeless moment.
  16. Some people enjoy drama; I reckon it's only right to concentrate on topics open for debate and discussion. Without conversation, communication serves little purpose.
  17. Hello, @Mapperley Pie. Welcome to PON.
  18. Notts must excel in midfield; it's the key to winning, losing, or drawing. When our midfield is top-notch, we're unstoppable. While Stuart Maynard works on the defence, my focus is on the midfield needing improvement currently.
  19. I was hoping for someone more seasoned, but talent can be found at any age. I’m thrilled to see Jaden Warner play for Notts. His impressive debut suggests that Norwich made a good decision to loan him out for more experience. Imagine if he becomes a top player and joins a Premier League team - we could proudly say we played a part in his journey. That would be fantastic!
  20. From what I’ve seen, Jason Sandersaon is a promising young player. I’d like to see him given 15 minutes of playtime when the timing is right. I hope this will continue under Stuart Maynard. I believe he has a bright future if we can keep him or properly integrate him into the team.
  21. In the recent press conference, it seemed like some players might return sooner than expected, which wasn’t the impression given by Craig’s interview. I think they might still be unsure and are trying to boost our spirits. I wouldn’t pay too much attention to Lewis Macari, as he’s likely dealing with personal issues.
  22. Given the uncertainty of having a new coach and not knowing how the team will react, I’m hesitant to say that Barrow won’t enjoy their visit to Meadow Lane. I can see the match ending 1-0, but I’m not sure who will score. I fully expect Barrow to have a solid defence and make a strong impression with their counter-attacks.
  23. Maynard seems like a leader, not just a manager. He's got the charm and strategy to inspire this club. You can tell he's already building a rapport with the team, and honestly, a close-knit group is key in chasing success. Notts County has needed this sort of leadership, someone to instil both discipline and confidence. Here's to a strong start and stronger finish!
  24. The professionalism of our medical team really shines through in these updates. Knowing that each player’s progress is being closely monitored and managed provides such reassurance. Bajrami, Palmer, and the rest of the injured lads must be eager to get back in action. Let’s keep the morale high and support them through it. Their determination is the embodiment of the Notts County spirit!
  25. I believe Jim O’Brien could be a good assistant one day, but I’m chuffed with Paul Maynard’s appointment. I don’t think we’d ever hire someone like Nigel Clough, he doesn’t fit our club’s image and why would he leave Mansfield? The same goes for the Neil Warnock rumour. I think those who spread these rumours contribute to the negative comments that Stuart Maynard has received, thankfully most are positive and excited. We need to fully support him because we have a brilliant team.
