  1. Can’t wait for this clash! Gillingham might be a strong side, but we’ve got the upper hand with our recent form at Meadow Lane. The way Maynard has the lads playing, especially with such cohesion in attack and defence, makes me confident. The midfield battle will be crucial, and if Crowley can dictate the play as he has been, I see us coming out on top. Here's to maintaining our unbeaten run and staying at the top of the table. COYP!
  2. The glowing comments for Jodi Jones and Dan Crowley are absolutely spot on. They make it difficult for opponents to play against us. I also want to praise the defence, even though there was a slip-up and Alex Bass could have done better before we conceded the second goal. The players are looking very good as a team. It was important that we held onto Jodi and Crowley in January.
  3. Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 QPR Swansea City 2-1 Norwich City Bolton Wanderers 2-1 Huddersfield Town Rotherham United 2-0 Burton Albion Carlisle United 0-0 Fleetwood Town Port Vale 1-2 Chesterfield ????Joker Southend United 1-0 Sutton United Tamworth 1-1 Maidenhead United
  4. This contract extension is massive for us. Jodi has been top-notch, and I’m glad he’s committed to Notts County. His performances have been outstanding, and he brings so much energy and skill to the team. It’s not just about his talent on the pitch, his positive attitude and dedication are also invaluable. Having Jodi on board for a longer period gives us stability and confidence. It shows that he believes in the club’s vision and wants to be a part of our journey. This commitment will surely inspire his teammates and the fans. I’m excited to see what the future holds with Jodi continuing to play a key role for Notts.
  5. As I said in the article, this is fantastic news. It’s a big deal for the club because it shows Jodi’s dedication and commitment to playing for Notts. While some fans might be hoping that Dan Crowley follows suit, Jodi Jones signing a new deal is very significant for Notts. He’s a top-notch player, and although there have been concerns about his past injuries, it hasn’t stopped him from shining at Meadow Lane. He’s a remarkable talent, worthy of being considered a legend. It’s great to see the club securing his deal, which gives us confidence and reduces worries. Without this early-season agreement, the club might have had to start looking for replacements.
  6. It’s the best news we could have hoped for at this stage. Yes, some fans will be hoping that Dan Crowley follows, but Jodi Jones committing is a big significance for Notts. He’s a class player, with concerns due to his previous injuries, but it hasn’t stopped him lighting up Meadow Lane. He’s a great talent, deserving to be considered a legend, and it’s nice to see the club able to sort out his deal. It gives us strength and less worry, as the club might have had to start considering replacements had it not happened this early in the season.
  7. I think Notts will do fine. Away from home, we have needed to see more improvements in how we play, but this should start to come. Bromley would regret being defensive, I feel. Bradford City destroyed them when they thought they could sit back. Notts won’t have it easy, but we do have players who can get the goals needed.
  8. It’s been great to see the stands filling up regularly. I still wish the Pavis would get more involved instead of booing and groaning, but it is impressive to see the support.
  9. David McGoldrick’s goals were pure class. Credit to the team for remarkable performance. The team showed great depth and resilience. Controlling possession and creating chances, they looked confident all match. Brilliant effort, Notts!
  10. I’ve been really impressed with Alex Bass since he joined us. You can see from these comments that he’s really happy to be at Notts County, and that kind of positive mentality can make all the difference on the pitch. It’s clear that he’s got the backing of the manager, which must give him a lot of confidence going into every game. I also like how he talks about wanting to get involved with the play, not just make saves, which shows he’s in tune with modern goalkeeping. Hopefully, he can keep this form up for the rest of the season!
  11. Barnsley 0-0 Bristol Rovers Charlton Athletic 2-1 Rotherham United Cheltenham Town 1-3 Harrogate Town Colchester United 3-1 Bromley Doncaster Rovers 2-2 Gillingham Braintree Town 2-2 Woking Gateshead 0-1 Barnet Hartlepool United 3-1 Halifax Town Joker
  12. I hope to see a glimpse of him tomorrow against Accrington. Now that he's in the team and has played a few minutes away at Swindon, we might start to see more of him. It's good that he can play anywhere in midfield but is focused on defending.
  13. I'm less nervous going into games now. I think the squad has the right mix of quality, hard work, and form. The players need to maintain these high standards, especially when there are others eager to get into the starting eleven. It will be interesting to see if Accrington play defensively or try to take the game to us.
  14. I always thought it would take Macaulay Langstaff time to adjust to the Championship. I'm confident he could score ten or more goals if he was given faith and playing time. You can't expect a striker to be immediately successful when they're coming from a lower level. League Two to the Championship is a big step up, and it sounds like they don't play with the same focus on keeping the ball on the ground.
  15. The board can only try to bring in players. Free agents are hard to sign when you have a strong squad, as everyone wants to play. When fees are involved, it always becomes a struggle to bring in players closer to the deadline. From this, I gather that the club will only sell for the right price and sign players who fit our budget. If we had signed five players who wouldn't play, people would still complain.
  16. Welcome to Meadow Lane! Everyone makes mistakes, and if he is truly sorry, that should be enough. I don't trust journalists to be entirely fair; their stories these days are more about selling what they write.
  17. Derby County 1-1 Bristol City Plymouth Argyle 0-3 Stoke City Crawley Town 0-2 Barnsley Peterborough United 3-1 Wrexham Joker Accrington Stanley 2-2 Colchester United Carlisle United 1-2 Tranmere Rovers Altrincham 0-1 Oldham Athletic Gateshead 1-0 Eastleigh
  18. Jatta did very well when he first arrived; he seemed to fit in nicely and has taken the chance to be our main striker. He has scored goals, and not every game will suit him to start, but even so, he will still get opportunities. Sometimes, I think his height could make a difference when coming on from the bench, but right now, he is crucial for starting matches.
  19. I wouldn't make unnecessary changes, as the team is improving and the starting eleven is showing signs of progress. I would just make sure we have options on the bench, just in case. I believe Curtis Edwards, having started against Grimsby Town, should keep his place in the team. Dropping someone who is in form and choosing someone who hasn't performed well sends the wrong message. Start with confidence, and if changes are needed, bring on the quality we have on the bench.
  20. We had many great strikers when Tony Hateley was around, but he was also a class act off the pitch. There’s a reason why fans admire him. He’s a legend at Liverpool and Mr Notts County here. I wasn’t lucky enough to see him play, but his status is legendary.
  21. I drive a manual car, but I believe that as we get older, it’s easier to switch to an automatic. I don’t want to sound rude. I would make the change myself because it would be more comfortable and makes driving simpler. Is that part of your reason for switching? Stick with it; it might take a few weeks, but once you’re used to it, you won’t notice the difference.
  22. Jodi Jones and Dan Crowley are players who would be hard to replace, at least on a like-for-like basis. It's important that we don’t have to change our approach, as these two fit our system well. They will show their worth against Swindon, which is where we need to concentrate.
  23. ????????Jatta all the way! I think that, with time, Curtis Edwards and Matty Platt might get a mention in future polls.
  24. Lou Macari will always be welcome down the lane. It's wonderful that he comes to watch his grandson. That must be a great support to Louis.
  25. There are two ways to look at it. You hope that Notts knows who to bring in and can act quickly if either or both do go. Or, they stay, and we manage to get extensions on them. Jodi Jones would be wise to remain at Notts. His form is very much based on being settled. Dan Crowley is the biggest concern. I won’t worry about either leaving, though.
